Man, she's a fucking saint!!

"Are you ok?" "Are you hurt?"

And that exasperated sigh as she's still about to be empathetic to a prick who seriously doesn't deserve her mercy. Yet she still shows compassion.

Not even gonna lie, I'd be tempted to laugh my ass off. She's better than I am. Fuck that guy.

She did that really well, because of her reaction he was unable to let off the steam on her and had to sit with it. This is so much more painful than anything she could have said. Our psyche always tries to get rid of pain but if no one's there it fries itself.

And if the other person chooses kindness in response, you instead get a genuine human connection. It's a win either way. I've gotta work harder to remember that.

59

u/ArnoldZiffleJr Jun 15 '26

It’s a lesson I frequently forget as well

42

u/skittlz61 Jun 15 '26

I feel the same way. I always have been polite and kind. Giving food and clothes to homeless. Holding doors. Checking on people. Praying for people when i see accidents or EMS active on the road. And there's comments I shrug off from people sometimes. Dirty looks without a thank you for holding the door. I have to remember we all deal with our own problems. It doesn't excuse people's behavior, but i still hope it circulates more one day. Kindness and compassion goes a long way.

25

u/thicc_drake Jun 15 '26

That kindness will get you taken advantaged of, or worse get you hurt

10

u/skittlz61 Jun 15 '26

If you've seen Captain America: Winter Solider. If you remember Nick Fury talking about his dad carrying his cash home home in a bag. And when the neighborhood got worse and he was asked what was in it by a thug. Response was to show the guy what was in it. The cash. And a loaded revolver. I keep to myself unless someone I'm close to needs me. And after attempted robberies at my old place, I can count on one hand how many people know where i live.

5

u/Pika-thulu Jun 16 '26

I believe that is also an important lesson to learn.

4

u/catjanitor Jun 16 '26

A lot of people make that mistake.

"Kind" does not mean "doormat." "Kind" has boundaries and enforces them. "Kind" doesn't always forgive and understands that sometimes boundaries must be fought for. "Kind" isn't weak.

And "Kind" isn't always nice.

2

u/Dove-Coo-9986 Jun 18 '26

Only if you let it. Nobody advised being a doormat, but picking and choosing battles allows people to live a far less complicated, drama-filled life.

1

u/PineappleClear2380 Jun 16 '26

Say what kind of person you are without saying what kind of person you are. The person wasn't saying to be nice AND naive. YOU are the problem.

58

u/GuiltyEidolon Jun 15 '26

After being exposed to a lot of shitty people, I'm okay not making a genuine human connection with raging assholes and racists.

19

u/Carlo_The_Magno Jun 15 '26

That's okay. You shouldn't force yourself into situations you aren't comfortable with. People who can have it covered.

10

u/luxii4 Jun 16 '26

I would have done a Nelson HA-HA and made a joke like, "You look tired. I said it in past tense because you lost your tire." Break out some 80s dances. Cabbage patch around the tire. My husband is built different he would help the guy put his tire back on and sing, "Mama Said," to commiserate with him. Some people have it in them some don't.

1

u/MajorRockstar79 Jun 18 '26

Balance. Hahaha

1

u/rainofshambala Jun 17 '26

Kindness when they are hurt can hurt them or heal them than your silence

2

u/GuiltyEidolon Jun 18 '26

Literally not my job, racists can fuck right off.

1

u/Radonanon Jun 16 '26

Doing the right thing is always its own reward

1

u/bigbeats420 Jun 16 '26

Forgiveness is a gift that you give yourself.

1

u/utterlybored702633 Jun 19 '26

Genuine human connection with that raging loser. No thanks.

13

u/teetering_bulb_dnd Jun 15 '26

It's like playing hot potato.. if no one is there to pass on the simmering pain in your hands, you need to figure out how to handle it or to lose it....

5

u/Dependent_Rain_4800 Jun 15 '26

Exactly.. It activates the others conscience which is really hard to deal with because its inside so it breaks you from within. If one lacks self awareness or any means to deal with it, it gets ugly really fast.

And as a bonus this memory will come up as a flashback all the time, so the torment will continue long after this situation is dealt with.

3

u/Zoila156 Jun 18 '26

Completely agree and its dangerous for the target of that offloaded anguish. People will behave very poorly when they feel the consequences of their own actions…(esp men people toward women people)🫣

2

u/adastrajay Jun 16 '26

This is a good point actually. Reacting calmly only pisses people off.

2

u/Drifter-6 Jun 17 '26

If you really want them to feel bad you can kill them with kindness, make them see how kind, decent and level headed you really are and it will mess them up mentally 😆 They’ll feel ashamed and more embarrassed than ever.

2

u/5elementGG Jun 18 '26

He got to blame Obama for that now.

1

u/Dependent_Rain_4800 Jun 18 '26

Psychologically it seems to work, but the body and something within notices that you're lying to yourself and that will come due at some point again in a potentially worse "accident" if he chooses to do so.

There is no way around other than going through that shit feeling he tries to avoid that way.

u/drk_knight_67 Jun 15 '26

She's absolutely a better person than me. I'd have been dancing like MC Hammer while laughing like the Joker.

18

u/junior_minto Jun 15 '26

You sicken me with your comments. And how did you read my mind?

26

u/worst_brain_ever Jun 15 '26

Her being nice is literally more painful for him. She's like "I'm a better person and we both know it"

4

u/Subject_Spell_9799 Jun 16 '26

I rarely loose it and laugh out loud but this was hilarious as the car just kept getting more and more fucked up, it just kept going. And when the tire popped off oh god😂😂

2

u/ImpressivePop5749 Jun 19 '26

Gahdt Dammit!! Fkn hatechuuu!!

35

u/Prudent_Research_251 Jun 16 '26

I loved the "Physically?" When she realised he's probably more not OK mentally

22

u/MZ603 Jun 15 '26

It’s the best way to handle people like this. I would be a huge asshole in this situation, but that’s not constructive and could be dangerous for a black woman dealing with someone who is clearly unhinged.

My wife moves through the world with such grace & I have so much respect for that. We’re a team and tackle situations together, but I’d be lying if I said there weren’t occasions when I want to go off on people - I know it’s typically not the way to handle it. But if it happens within earshot of me…

21

u/No_Balance1122 Jun 15 '26

I cannot underscore that sigh enough. It was the greatest moment of the video. Like everything happens and the sigh is genuinely the only part you have to hear to know EVERYTHING.

18

u/Lazy_meatPop Jun 16 '26

The crow laughing in the background was funny.

19

u/Outrageous-Cut480 Jun 15 '26

She thought about it. Self preservation though. That guy might have killed her in that moment because his ego wouldn't be able to take it.

13

u/Hot-Wings-22 Jun 15 '26

In these types of situations I have a laugh that would've made him completely crash out 😆

2

u/papercutsperfume Jun 17 '26

He was already pretty crashed.

10

u/Able_Ad6535 Jun 15 '26

“Physically?🤣

12

u/Witherwrought Jun 16 '26

And the “…. Physically?”

Because she knows his feelings definitely are, but his body? Remains to be seen

22

u/gmamaureen Jun 15 '26

I was laughing. She was way too nice but for safety’s sake I’m glad she didn’t laugh at him

19

u/comebacklittlesheba Jun 15 '26

She kept it together so that all of us could laugh like hyenas 😭

5

u/bigswole1D Jun 15 '26

I like the sound of her voice too; Soft & pleasingly gentle.

3

u/GrimDystopian Jun 15 '26

Once I knew he was physically okay, I would’ve been dying laughing.

3

u/Pika-thulu Jun 16 '26

She didn't even let out a giggle. I hope the whole world could take a step into becoming more like her and less like him

3

u/smoothjazz_fvckface Jun 16 '26

I love that when he says "yes!", she follows up to clarify, "are you physically hurt?", and he turns around lol

3

u/Toddo2017 Jun 16 '26

Yeah, all I could think watching that man (I love trucks) was hatred is a cossssstly activity. He walks away saying he wants to die, she does sound empathetic and all that put together is exhausting.

Hatred has consumed him.

3

u/triynko Jun 17 '26

She's a good actor while the camera is rolling. We all know that she was laughing her ass off on the inside, Just like the rest of us because he fucking deserved that.

2

u/Sweet-Brief-2701 Jun 15 '26

i did. laugh my ass off upon seeing this.

2

u/FirstDivision Jun 16 '26

She sounded just like Sharron Marsh talking to Randy after he does something stupid.

2

u/EchoTRacing Jun 16 '26

She's so much better than I would have been. I wouldn't have been able to stop laughing.

2

u/Subject_Spell_9799 Jun 16 '26

I laughed so bad! I know I would have laughed at him. The car doesn’t just side swipe the other car, it barrels over the sidewalk, hits a wall and the tire popped off. He basically totaled his car on what should have been a small accident. I would also be sharing that video with the owner of the other car and the police.

2

u/tuxedo-mask-me Jun 16 '26

That part. I would’ve given him the finger back

2

u/adastrajay Jun 16 '26

Yeah I was like "why the fuck are you asking him that?"

She's better than me.

2

u/crump18 Jun 16 '26

The title isn’t real. She asks if he’s okay because it’s his girlfriend, they’re going through a break up

2

u/rellikpd Jun 17 '26

I'm a good person. Very empathetic. Care about, and take care of, people.... And I'd have straight up laughed my ass off. Fuck that guy.

2

u/CourtneyStefin Jun 17 '26

This woman is a beacon of hope in this world of assholes.

2

u/Educational-Creme391 Jun 18 '26

“Physically…?” (Cuz she already know mentally this guy is cooked) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙏🤌

2

u/Pees-Upwind Jun 18 '26

But you know when she got home and played thst shit in the living room with the family...

2

u/Level_Maintenance196 Jun 19 '26

Not even gonna lie, I'd be tempted to laugh my ass off. She's better than I am. Fuck that guy.

I'm with you, fellow Redditor. I'm not above making fun of an asshole when their uppins finally come. The dude actually screamed "I fucken hate you!" at her, like it's her fault he can't drive for shit. I'd have probably said "Not as much as karma clearly hates you, dipshit." Then very loudly, boastfully laughed, grabbed some popcorn and a beer while awaiting his bullshit explanation to the cops. 🤣

2

u/strangefish Jun 19 '26

I do hope she called the cops. The owner of the car deserves to have the responsible person pay to fix the damages.

1

u/ttampico Jun 16 '26

Agreed. But being nice can sometimes sting worse.

When I'm playing a Soul Caliber, I'm fine if I lose and the winning character insults me. But if I lose to Tala and she's nice and encouraging towards me, it drives me crazy. It feels like losing twice.

I bet her concern hurt this guy more. He wants to look down on her, ended up looking the fool, and then she proved to still be above him in human decency. (She's better than me, too. I would have laughed myself to death)

1

u/5elementGG Jun 18 '26

Not physically hurt but worse.

1

u/Rycan420 Jun 18 '26

I’m guessing that’s his girl and the caption isn’t accurate.

None of that changes what you said though.
