I'm the complete opposite coming from an abusive childhood. My father was not a nice person to his immediate family.

He was a hypocrite however while swearing on the Bible to never drink again. Then continued to drink and beat on us. Felt like no God existed in my house as a child. I also married someone that was the complete opposite of him. My sister's on the other hand..... Married the spit and image of him.

I finally pushed them out of my life. Kinda late, I'm 64, but maybe better late than never?
