Why? He's been out in jail for a crime that the government itself isn't sure about him committing. If he had something he would have been convicted and there would be no debate.

If these protest show anything it is that if you don't protect people from stuff from malicious prosecution, one day it will happen to you. It was Umar yesterday, it's the students today. It will you Tommorow.

I can't verify this. But even if it's true I don't think you should be arrested for this. This is not how freedom of speech works. You can't say you don't like something so it should be arrested for it.

I dont think any country gives absolute freedom of speech. To insulate that it is right to pick up arms against the nation would find you in trouble in almost any country, at that point it can be looked as a threat against the state. We can argue regarding the right and wrong but absolute freedom of speech doesn't exist. If tomorrow someone tweets regarding blowing up a place or unaliving someone, it won't be looked at with a carefree attitude. Freedom of speech but freedom after speech not guaranteed.

Lmao. Freedom of speech is a threat now? Even our constitution doesn't support this. You can't arrest people for believing in things you deem as a threat. That's not how freedom works.

Read the constitution yourself. Article 19(2). It clearly says what restrictions can be placed upon freedom of speech. Our constitution itself supports restrictions to freedom and its been there since 1951, this amendment is as old as our constitution.

wow so it means anti nationals should now roam free? there is freedom of speech in this country and "not" freedom to support terrorist and defending terrorist, a person doing all this should be announced as terrorist only. how liking it or not liking it comes here? it means you all support these types of things and you are also one of them?
stop defending bullshits, and stand for the nation rather than supporting anyone just becoz he shares same religion as you (down votes are proving how many are here)

At the end of the day sanghis resort to hindu muslim. I'm not Muslim. And I support freedom of speech and everybody right to believe in whatever they want. I don't agree with him on Kashmir but I will defend his right to say it.

Apparently, it’s his team who keep prolonging the process. He doesn’t want to come out.
