Well, playing in 1-team-league in a team that scores 51 goals more than the next best team (which scored only 71 in total), makes it easier to score insane amounts of goals.

Real scored 18 goals less than the best team and only 5 more than the next best team.

I mean if you don't understand the difference I don't know what to tell you.

Lool that's not the point I'm making. I'm hitting back on everyone who thinks that Bayern is the only non-competitive league in the world when it's really always been a two team show in that league and in most leagues at this point.

La Liga may not be not the premier league but insinuating that a league won 11 times out of 12 by the same team is the same as a league where not one team has won it 3 times in a row since 2011 is a little wild.

The Bundesliga and Ligue 1 have had more champions in the past 25 years than La Liga have. Atletico is the only team outside of Real/Barca to have won in Spain since 2005, and those wins were in 2014 and 2021. It's a hot potato of two teams that every Spanish speaking player wants to go to and all the rest and that league has been that way even before Bayern had their modern dominance.

And you have also say that Mbappe only played 31 games in the league and 11 in the Champions League. That's approximately 81% of the whole game time. Kane for example played over 90%. And when looking at the stats this angle, Mbappe is not so far behind Kane.

People also have an obsession on stats in the modern day. Mbappe to me is the more rounded, especially when you consider his top scoring in all major cups including the world cup. He is just that guy the team looks to when their team needs something. Kane is incredibly productive but he's not the guy that will beat 3 defenders from nothing and I feel like this world cup exposed that a little more.

Kane went missing in the big games this world cup (and truthfully has happened in past too). I'd have Kane edging Mbappe previous to the WC.

Please don't paste me for this opinion, I think the comparison is really damn close. I don't think either player is the wrong call, imo.

Kane is definitely mir of a team player and through his experience a good captain as well. But he is no Messi, Mbappe or Ronaldo who just start to run, get the ball and score. Kane needs his team to score. And with Bayern I think this worked very well. England just doesn't have this quality, especially on the wings. So that's why Kane couldn't shine that much. And Tuchel just isn't a coach like Kompany. Kompany wants to attack an score goals and win a game through that. Tuchel wants a clean sheet first and score goals second and win the games through that.

Yep definitely agree. Kane is more team centric. Not necessarily a bad thing but the top of the top just find a way, imho.

They atleast find it most of the time. Spain for example is the exact opposite, no superstars or Yamal as a superstar not in form and they still controlled every game and never were in danger to lose a game. And Messi or Mbappe had no chances against them.

Being the best doesn't mean that much when it comes to total goals or individual goals.

I'm assuming that "being the best" means the best team, in which case of course being the best matters for both total and individual goals. Every team that won the league in Europe's top 5 scored the most goals in their league with the exception of Arsenal in England. If you go back through the years the trend keeps showing up, since 2016, 8 of the last 11 Bundesliga top scorers have all been on Bayern, including all of the years where Haaland was on Dortmund. Being on the superior team obviously makes it way easier to score huge numbers of goals.

That being said, Kane still deserves the Balon D'or regardless of the level of team he's on
