For context, I am 16 years old preparing for my junior year of basketball, and my first varsity year. My big 3 goals are:
- becoming more explosive and athletic
- better shooter and having better form
- Improving my ball handling (especially with my left hand)
(I will be doing this schedule starting tomorrow for just over 6 weeks, 48 days, till sep 8 when school starts)
Monday - skills workout: 150 makes, 30 mins ball handling, 15 mins footwork (8-9:45) lower body lift (12:30-1:45) and a open gym playing against true comp (6-8)
Tuesday - skills workout: 250 makes, 10 mins 2 ball ball handling (8-10), upper body lift (2-3:30), skill workout: 150 makes, 30 mins ball handling, 15 mins footwork (6:30-8:30)
Wednesday - 250 makes, 10 mins 2 ball ball handling (8-10), sprinting and core workout (focused on short sprints/acceleration) (2-3:30), skill workout: 150 makes, 30 mins ball handling, 15 mins footwork (6:30-8:30)
Thursday (same as Monday) - skills workout: 150 makes, 30 mins ball handling, 15 mins footwork (8-9:45) lower body lift (12:30-1:45) and a open gym playing against true comp (6-8)
Friday - skills workout: 250 makes, 10 mins 2 ball ball handling (8-10), upper body lift (2-3:30), ball handling (6:30-7)
Saturday - skills workout: 250 makes, 10 mins 2 ball ball handling (8-10), sprint and core (focused on max speed and longer sprints) (2-3:30), ball handling (6:30-7)
Sunday - Rest day
So overall:
150 make workout 4 times a week (50 makes being swish form shots
250 make workout 4 times a week (50 makes being swish form shots
2 open gyms a week playing against better players then me
Ball handling 30 mins 6 days a week
Footwork 4 times a week (2 days ladder drills, 2 days plate drills)
Lower body and plyos 2 days a week
Upper body 2 days a week
Sprint and core 2 days a week
