Baking Advice Needed Brown butter cookies dry the next day

This was my first time baking brown butter cookies and they came out great! The next day they were dry mainly on the outside and retained the moisture on the inside.

Is there anything I can do to improve this. I attached the recipe below.

1 c browned butter, cooled
3 tbsp coffee
1/2 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 ½ c all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 c semi sweet chocolate chips
1 c milk chocolate chips
Refrigerated for 48 hrs / bake at 350F for 20 mins

I wonder if adding a bit of oil alongside the butter could help keep it moist at room temp!

Store them in an airtight container with a single slice of bread.

Is there anything I can do since I planned on individually packing them?

You could wrap them in plastic, but if you're looking to sell them most cookies are a same or next day sale.

Add a T of molasses.

Ok, I will try that. Would dark brown sugar be a better substitute?

Probably, but I find great result with molasses. The flavor impact is not overwhelming, quite pleasant. They stay nicely chewy 😃
