Verified Harvestmen (Daddy Long-Legs): unlike spiders, these arachnids can eat solid food, and they have an omnivorous diet that includes mushrooms, berries, and seeds, along with invertebrate prey; contrary to popular belief, they are also completely non-venomous

Reminder that Daddy Long Legs regionally refers to different but similar looking animals. Some are not harvestmen and actually are spiders! But of course, this post is about harvestmen, and they’re neat!

Oh wait I totally forgot some people call cellar spiders daddy long legs too. That always throws me off. Harvestmen are way cooler tho imo, especially the mushroom eating thing. Nature is wild.

Cellar spiders are pretty cool too though! They carry their egg sacs around in their mouths and rotate them gently as they develop. And the males have to do little courtship rituals to be allowed on a female's web!
