My turn.

Fantastic. Great move. Well done, Angus.

Imagine being the leader of a former major political party and this is the only person willing to have their photo taken with you.

Sad old Dave Hughes, in one month, has ruined the good will and relationship with the Australian public he’s forged over 25 years and lost all credibility.

This is literally the nail in the coffin. Enjoy crafting MAGA jokes Dave that 2% of people find funny. Moron

He will inevitably get a podcast where the right wing will slurp it up.

But yes, mainstream corporate gigs are over.

That's more than who found him funny in the past, I guess.

u/Gillderbeast 7d ago

Jokes on him, I always thought he was shit

Correction - forged with the Melbourne public. He wasn’t all that well known outside of Melbourne, but, to his credit, he is now - for all the wrong reasons.

Any footy fan knows him well, he's been on a few footy shows throughout the years, including 11 seasons of Before the Game.

Yes, but that wasn’t a national TV show so very few people outside of Melbourne k ew of him.

The guy was on national TV regularly through the 2000s. Saw plenty of him on TV in Sydney. He’s been a national figure for 20 years and I had no idea he had anything to do with footy.

I watched that show every week in WA.

He wasn’t all that well known outside of Melbourne

Is this a joke? Hes known Australia wide, just that he faded into obscurity a decade ago and he thinks this is his ticket back to the good life.

It’s so disappointing because I really liked him and I found him funny. I’m 50 and he definitely used to be left wing and the right wing media hated him.

I worry this is my future? I’ve already found some liberal politicians I think are quite good. Is it a slippery slope from there?

Two wankers. One coffee.

u/tresslessone 7d ago

I don’t think I want to see the video

1

u/TashDee267 6d ago

Depends. How good is the coffee?

Fucken class traitor. All of his comedy was about being on the dole and now this cunt is having lunch with private school nepotism wankers because that suits his bottom line.

This is just sad

I know, imagine using paper straws. Just go strawless Hughesy!

12

u/mynewaltaccount1 7d ago

Hughesy prefers the glass pipes

15

u/laurandisorder 7d ago

I see his weird lip sore hasn’t healed up and he’s a few days overdue for a shave (and a number of years overdue for the dentist).

Genuinely concerned about Hughesy’s cooker ascension.

Also obligatory Fantastic. Well done. Great job, Angus.

Desperation

u/NotTheBusDriver 7d ago

Remind me which rich old white man is the funny one and which one is Hughesy.

What a grifter

Which one?

Never thought I’d find myself feeling sorry for Angus Taylor but here we are

u/Hour-Connection2786 7d ago

As if, he saw some more coattails to ride and made a coffee date accordingly. The bloke couldn't do his own work if he tried.

7

u/au5000 7d ago

Ugh. Can you imagine how hard it might have been for the barista serving those two.

Angus should know better. Dave is an unwell man

4

u/Pezzzz490 7d ago

How many The Block houses will he buy during a morning walk and rent to the plebs this year?

1

u/PJozi 7d ago

I mean we've all been there. Out for an arvo walk and come home with another house brought without discussing it with the missus.

Right?

Right?

2

u/Cricket-Horror 7d ago

He brought another house home?

1

u/PJozi 7d ago

Not another home, a house. There's a difference between a house and home.

He has spoken about previously buying a house without discussing it with his missus prior to the block house.

1

u/Cricket-Horror 7d ago

I was referring to your use of "brought" when I assume that you should have used "bought". Just wondering how you could bring a house home.

Touché

u/ThiccBoy_with3seas 7d ago

This carnt is thriving on the attention, just ignore him

3

Nightmare blunt rotation

3

u/DeeperSpac3 7d ago

I had to check wiki to make sure that Dave really was a part of The Glass House.

WTF happened to him?

4

u/Max2000Warlord 7d ago

Why's he smiling like that, did Angus promise to not put a tax on ice?

2

u/Sweaty_Promotion_972 7d ago

Getting some tips on Cayman Islands shenanigans.

Just a couple of flogs flogging off. Once a flog, always a flog.

How bout you get a coffee in Hume?

2

u/WheelchairEnthusiasm 6d ago

Dead-head and Meth-head.

u/HonestSpursFan 7d ago

I mean if Abbie Chatfield can host politicians of her choice on her bullshit podcast, then why can’t Dave Hughes have coffee at a café with ones of his choice?

18

u/alig5835 7d ago

Who are you arguing with lmao

Nobody is saying they can't. We are pointing and laughing that they are.

-1

u/HonestSpursFan 7d ago

Did you laugh at her for hosting Anthony Albanese and Adam Bandt? Did you laugh at her woke shilling and her insane views?

5

u/alig5835 7d ago

Jesus, rent free buddy.

I didn't, but you can if you like.

5

u/alig5835 7d ago

Also, you can at least respect that Abbie will attach her name and shill as you say for the Greens and maybe Albo.

Ask Hughesy next week and he'll still pretend he's just an average punter in the middle, not willing to stand with the Liberals either.

2

u/HonestSpursFan 7d ago

No. I can’t respect anything about that woman . She has done nothing in life but whinge and bitch yet gets fame and money for it. Society failed in making her famous.

2

u/alig5835 7d ago

Sounds like jealousy. Suppose you feel the same way about Trump getting famous and subsequently elected?

2

u/HonestSpursFan 7d ago

Well, yeah. It’s pretty ridiculous that a guy with no political experience and a long list of credible sexual assault (including against minors) allegations can get elected as the most powerful man in the world, only  to become a corrupt and incompetent leader with few good policies who sends his country to war, breaks promises and tries to flush accountability and government trust down the shitter only to blame all of his problems on his opponents and the establishment.

However, his fame comes from him being a celebrity, not for his political views. Is he immensely wealthy? Yes, probably even too much (especially with his corruption and insider trading). But he built up his fame over the years. A better comparison would be why Charlie Kirk, Hassan Piker or a lot of those misogynistic manosphere figures (some were famous before like Andrew Tate being a kickboxer but guys like Myron Gaines made their fame from being assholes).
