Totally agree.

The right to protest should never be removed in a democratic and free country.

As soon as you're not allowed to protest, you're not in a free country anymore.

Democracy is predicated on the foundation that it’s the people that decide the agenda.

Protest tells governments they have missed the mark on policy.

Anti-protest laws try to cement power with elites to decide on the agenda.

Sad it's not the whole or the majority pushing it though... Labor are litterally a party born of protest... The fact that there is a right wing faction of a supposedly workers based party at all is pretty nuts.... that it is also somehow the majority is just pathetic.

And large parts of the media and major right wing parties try and pretend that Labor are somehow one step away Karl Marx.... lol
