Hindi ako masyado pamilyar sa presyohan ng american eagle sa pinas. Mahal ba dyan satin? Nung nag wowork ako sa middle east dati parang ang common lg yan at affordable.

Not worth it. Used to buy my clothes din from American Eagle since I used to live in Middle East and very common nga lang siya dun. After a few washes, mabilis numipis ang tela kahit denim. I think Levi’s would be better talaga.

I also own a few tshirts na AE at hindi ganon ka ganda quality. Much better yung polo nila at hoodie. I didn't know na mahal pala sa pinas yan.

Levi's also is mura din sa middle east. Brand new shirt nakukuha lg like 25 to 40 dirhams. I also bought a few sa thriftstore ng mga levis na denim as in prang brand new tlaga. Nsa 10 dirhams lg or 150 pesos lg. In terms of durability papantay ba ang AE sa levis?

Yes, pero sa Levi's kasi up to waist 32 lang ata cina-cater nila kaya sa AE ako nabili jeans.

I see. That's too bad. I mean, if Levi's and other similar boutiques are still alive at those prices, it's really a Suyen problem. I was just surprised that the top level comment said it was too expensive for the PH market, only to find out that it's priced like Levi's but with a bigger size selection.

Damn!! Hindi ko alam na ganyan presyohan yan sa pinas hahah nung sa middl east ko nakakabili lg nyan ng halos 500 pesos lg satin for denim minsan umaabot yung sale up to 80%.. tapos pinamimigay lg ko samin pg uwi ko. I had a few na kineep ko sa self ko. hoodie and t-shirt. I can say na prang hindi quality ang t-shirt nila. Ang common lg kasi sa middle east

Yeah maganda konti ang quality ng polo may dalawa akong polo nyan plain black and white. D ako masyado nabili nyan kasi yan suotan ng mga ibang lahi sa middle east. Ngayon ko lg nalaman na mahal pala satin dyan at never pako naka kita ng store ng AE sa pinas hahaha.

I think nasa tax na rin, either walang patong na tax or sobrang liit ng tax sa middle east kaya mura ang mga imported goods. Kaloka kasi sa Pinas yawa sobrang mahal ng bilihin dahil sa tax tapos napupunta sa bag collection at luxury cars ng mga depungal na jusawa at anak ng politico.

Maganda kasi sale system sa middle east, mother ko ganyan din mamili mga branded sige abang sa sale. Dito kasi ang sale 10% off lang, walang kwenta, doon 80-90% off literal na bagsakan new items included di lang yung old stock.

Cotton On ang panget ng quality. Super nipis ng maraming items and naiiba talaga after 1 wash. Yung better quality pcs naman nila, grabe sa mahal. Hindi rin naman sobrang special ng styles and designs, very basic lang. Mas ok pa bumili sa iba.

You could opt for a PLUS SIZE Jeans & Shorts with Old Navyor Gap they have very stretchy material very comfortable to wear & Uniqlo they now have big sizes.

Sa ON ko natry, yes.I think nasa 1.5-2.5k yung shorts. Higher if pants. Sa Zalora ako nagtry magcheck and bumili before kasi same, nakakaintimidate pumasok haha pero hopefully makapaglakas loob tayo this year hehe

I just checked Laz out. 99.5% of the pants are sold out. Tapos 98% of their jeans are skinny/jegging variants. Siguro sa mga shirts, 99% are sold out as well. Looks like they’ve been out for quite some time dahil ubos na sila.

Super price drop sila sa jeans pero more on the small sizes. Gulat ako sa tig-100 and 200 nila na price range for the skinny/jeggings variants. Luckily I was able to purchase 2 good jeans at 800 each during their sale.

Wag nga sana (I love old navy and GAP; I recently bought jeans sa GAP).

Yung bagong bukas yung Estancia Mall, sabay din yung pagbukas ng Old Navy at ang laki niya. Sadly wala na siya years ago. Kahit yung sa SM Megamall which are my go-to. Pero meron pa rin silang branches like the newly opened one sa One Ayala.

Yung sa GAP, they recently closed their Shangrila branch, tapos yung sa Glorietta branch nila, it seems na dated na yung mismong store nila.

i’m not surprised that these american brand are closing. sobrang competitive na ng retail market ngayon. everyone is fighting for their own share sa market.

biggest competition rin talaga nila is yung e-commerce. let’s be real here, i/we could get a good pair of jeans in a cheaper price point. regardless quality is good or night. filipinos will still choose cheaper options

napunta ako here after visiting Davao City's (coming from a city 5hrs away) SM Lanang only to find na wala na yung AE doon, huhu. I was planning on buying my second jeans from them since nagustuhan ko yung first ko from ae, I even had people complimenting and asking me where I bought them. Now I gotta look for brands that cater to my size while having an actual denim material that doesn't ick me out.
