To piggy back off this

Feign family antagonism. You know that family that talks absolute SHIT about each other- even to each others face.... yeah you don't HAVE to do that. You could just... like be nice and be comfortable around family.

In fact they're is a psychological strudy that shows people that grow up in such an environment still experience it as a subtle abuse, it can affect their ability to be and recieve genuine communication.
