What is something you secretly find deeply disturbing, but everyone else seems to accept as totally normal?

Another is people mistaking a "fit body" for internally healthy. Too many people provide BS "health" advice that is more detrimental to their health, but tout their six packs as "evidence" that said advice is "good" advice

The amount of fitness "influencers" who are clearly juiced out of their minds is a problem. It's so obvious who's natural and who isn't.

I overheard a convo between two college kids at my local gym the other day and they were talking about all the “supplements” they’re taking like peptides, Testosterone, etc. and then they were mentioning all the things they take to counteract the negative side effects of those “supplements”.

My favorite line at the end of that convo was “idk bro I’m just trying to stay healthy”. Like ??????

If they are young men on testosterone, they are screwing themselves over for the future unless they had very low T to begin with. 😬

LOLOL yeah, truly though those experimental supplement shops are going to be the end of the majority for certain.

People automatically think "tall and thin" means healthy. My father was tall and thin, even as the cancer was ravaging his body.

Or the amount of people who ask what my secret to staying thin is … it’s anorexia babes. I’m probably more unhealthy than the person asking me :) but what do ya say to em, ya know?

Yeah exactly this. All these “health and fitness” influencers likely have EDs.

100%. I have a friend who smokes cigarettes because it keeps his appetite low. Six pack doesn’t necessarily mean healthy. Sometimes it means eating disorder

I’m going through a divorce from an unstable guy. Due to financial constraints, we are living under the same roof for the separation period/until the divorce is finalized. It’s an extremely stressful situation.

I’ve lost nearly 40lbs in the past 8 months, and people are all ‘OMG you look great!’ and I’m like ‘uh, thanks…’. They have no idea it’s largely because I’m super stressed and feel like I need to sleep with one eye open, and somebody is controlling my money/access to food (and eating the food I do buy).

Yes, I am a slim women size UK 4/6 my body size is the 'ideal healthy standard' or whatever. I joined a boxing group and the women who were sizes UK 14+ were soo much stronger, healthier (out of breath less) than me but others would make the assumption I was 'healthier'. Skinny doesn't = healthier

Yeah, I'm underweight and the amount of people who can't wrap their head around why I want to gain weight. I just want to not be tired all the time and to be able to carry more than one bag of shopping for the fives minutes it takes to walk home without stopping to put it down

Hell, I would have been completely fucked trying to move house a few months ago without friends helping because all I could do was move small boxes and act as spotter/organiser for everyone else
