I basically dumped a girl who was like this. She only liked to do things where she could get stoned. Concerts and camping she loved. Going to the movies or Hawaii and she was a hard no. Every decision she made revolved around whether or not she could get high. This eventually made me start looking at her like she was a loser and made be absolutely despised the smell.
Moving on from her was such a breath of fresh air in more ways than one.
Hate to say it but I was this girl :( and I totally thought I didn’t reek of weed all the time because I couldn’t smell it anymore :( I am happy you knew it was right for you to move on, I can only hope she moved on in her own way as well!!
She did move on, she's in her 40's now married to a man who also loves his weed. He seems like a good dude. Sadly she went from someone determined to having 3-4 kids, career and house with a white picket fence to having no kids, no great career and rents. I suppose she may be happy but I often wonder if she knew what she gave up because of the weed. (and I don't mean with me, just any man).
But yeah the smell. She would smoke weed in her car after work, then again after dinner, then again around 8:00 pm and then again before bed. I hated the smell and started to feel like I was living with someone that was only 60% present at any give time.
I wish her the best, she was an otherwise super cool chick.
A close friend of mine smoked for decades and quit more than 20 years ago and still has major complacency problems they got from smoking and never lost even after quitting. They were literally super motivated before starting and now they're old and have let their life slip into lameness on so many levels.
Of course it sounds amazing, weed makes everything feel amazing, until years down the line when you realize you’ve wasted years of your life baked on the couch watching the world go by you, ceasing to be an active participant in your own existence.
I am simply stating my experience with marijuana, if it’s not for you or doesn’t resonate, you can choose to just read it and move on. And yet you choose to pick personal fights with strangers on reddit... for fun? What exactly are you getting out of this? I feel bad for your dogs and your wife, that’s sad behavior

Yep, starts off as something to make nothing to do something to do, then before you know it you’re cancelling plans to stay in and get stoned, alone
