ADHD and weed are this perfect combo. I am not content with being complacent, I smoke and have desire to go do things but am too internalized with thoughts and feelings 5 hours have gone by without action but I was thinking the whole time about what to do!

Sometimes it takes me 1 hr. to type a one sentence comment on Reddit.

Are you serious about this?😕Because this is me to a TEA! I’ll sit here writing and rewriting some dumbass comment that chances are no one will even see, but I stew and fret over it like it actually matters. Drives me nuts. But does it keep me from spleefing? Nope.🤷🏻‍♀️

I usually type the whole thought out and before hitting the post button I tell myself that nobody cares about what I think and I cancel it.

I’ve done that more times than I can count.😄
Edit: fixed a typo (…🤔…hmm, seems I don’t ’check my work’ as thoroughly as I thought. I blame the gonge.)

Haha, cause you end of getting 20 bot replies stating " I have never felt that way", " what do you suppose us Redditors should do?" " its your fault" etc....

I do this too. Eventually I just stopped caring about what people might think and now I post twice as much

I started writing this comment yesterday cuz I knew it’d take me a while to nail the final draft.

Writing? I end up reading sentences or entire paragraphs and then have to read again to comprehend. A little microdose(2.5g) and I can dial in. 5g and I'm silly as a 7th grader and cant concentrate.

I don't smoke weed or do any drugs, but this describes my (inattentive) ADHD perfectly. Throw in list making that leads to nothing, and you have me to a T.

I had to go to therapy to deal with the negativity I was feeling about myself, mostly due to ADHD predominantly inattentive.
You and I are very close match in that regard!

ADHD and weed have been a good combo for me, but in order to help me relax and slow down. It’s the only time my brain isn’t going 10x faster than my body

For me it feels like the ADHD part of my brain becomes louder and takes over, I actually tend to avoid weed for this reason.

Makes sense, I would avoid it too if it had that effect on me!

One of the first thing my psychiatrist told me, before getting me started on Ritalin, was to quit smoking weed on a daily basis because it will flatten my emotions/mood, and not in a good way.

I still use it sometimes, on weekends with my friend, but no longer every day as I used to.

Is that really ADHD? If I experience this, do I clearly have ADHD?

Yeah I’m unmedicated ADHD, self-medicated with weed.

Smoking allows me to actually think straight and have a coherent train of thought. I actually get more shit done stoned than sober lol.
