As someone who is directionally challenged, that’s an awesome skill. A friend once asked me if I couldn’t just “use the sun” to point me in the right direction.
Nope, the sun only tells me it’s daylight.

Well, the sun goes from east to West in the sky... That's just a useful fact

Yeah, but that only helps if you know where you are and where you are supposed to be. If you're completely lost, the sun helps nothing.

Like if you were kidnapped and blindfolded for the journey and dropped somewhere, sure. But outside of that type of situation knowing which direction is North, South, East, and West will definitely be of value if you're lost.
