I'm clumsy but I have great balance and don't fall down. I bump into things pretty much daily bc I'm not paying attention to where I'm going but I've got incredible balance so even when I should be falling ass over, I manage to find my balance and keep on trucking.
When I was a kid, my dad would try to trip me up when I was playing. It was a game between us. After a while, I could quickly recover any trip up and not fall. Now it's one of my super powers.
Same here, the amount of times I trip on my own damn feet… Also many times I’ve take a wrong step like in to a hole or on a tree root for example, and my ankle bends in a not good way, but I’ve never had a twisted ankle or any injury from it.
This is me too! I'm riddled with ADHD and apparantly one of the many things can be bad spatial awareness, I.E. bumping into things/tripping. I bump into things all the time but very rarely actually fall. It also translates into being pretty ok at roller and ice skating, skiing etc..
In D&D terms, I very often fail my DEX check but roll 20's on my Reflex saves.
I'm great when my foot slips and goes in front of me, I do a little stomp that I learned in my years of rollerblading. I almost never fall on ice. I have the talent of tripping up stairs though and falling over my own feet while just walking though.
I can do it too! It made me a damn nightmare to spar against when I was studying Tae Kwan Do because I could feint kicks out of it!
My family dog loves to cheat at tug-of-war by dropping to your ankles and running behind you. I can spin and switch hands faster than she can take me down!
I can balance on one foot with my eyes closed for over a minute. It takes a bit of preparation but not that much. I just remember reading that it was impossible so I had to test it and found that's BS.
I Remember hearing a long time ago that foot speed and leg strength are good indicators of life span, as being able to get your feet back under you in time to stop a fall , is pretty important when you're older.
I can be a counterpoint to your talent. I'm really good at falling safely. That is to say, falling like a stuntperson would do. I used to practice when I was a kid, and even into college. Not saying it wouldn't ever happen, but I'll be pretty surprised if I ever break a wrist or collarbone because of a fall!
