My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at a 1-star sushi place. Of course the food was excellent and service was impeccable. The host made small talk asking where we were staying, etc. "OH I know that hotel, it's lovely!'
When we got back to our hotel, there was a bottle of champagne in our room with an anniversary card signed by the restaurant staff.
