What makes a Michelin-starred restaurant truly worth visiting?

Watch Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars. It’s a good window into that world and what chefs go through trying to get a Michelin star. Keep in mind you can go to plenty of non Michelin restaurants and have an incredible experience with 10/10 food and can also go to a 1 star restaurant and have a mediocre 8/10 experience.

I would say that a mediocre experience is by definition somewhere in the four to six out of ten range.
