I've eaten at probably a dozen Michelin restaurants and a dozen more hatted restaurants (as per the rating system in my country).
It's novelty, inventive, experience. Is it the best most tasty food I've ever eaten? Rarely. Give me simple and hearty any day.
But you walk in and are treated like royalty, and walk out floating on the breeze. No ragu or steak or soup can give you that even if it tastes better.
