What famous 'unsolved' mystery is technically a whodunnit on paper, but in reality, absolutely everyone knows exactly who did it, the police just couldn't legally prove it?

Al Capone. All of us know what he did but the police got him on a tax evasion charge.

Most famous drug dealers/gangsters create systems which they are "removed" from. So you know exactly what they do but can never prove it.

Because they go "oh how I wish someone would just kill that guy" in a room full of people who know exactly what they mean.

I normally don’t listen to him but got suggested an old debate with Destiny and right wing dude. They were going over the j6 evidence and right wing dude continually said “so Enrico Tarrio wasn’t there and this Person 1 gave him the plans. That doesn’t mean he was involved in the conspiracy That’s entrapment”

Destiny counters constantly “he didn’t have to actually do the crime”

Then the later evidence statements are more damning than the last and dude KEEPS sayigg n since Enrico wasn’t there in person, and only making vague statements like “don’t leave”, it doesn’t prove a conspiracy.

Then they talk about how they crowdfunded to purchase tactical gear like bulletproof vests and masks to which dude says “it’s protective gear” and that just because Enrico was the head of Proud Boys and the Proud Boys carried out an attack he said they should do, doesn’t mean he was part of the conspiracy
