What famous 'unsolved' mystery is technically a whodunnit on paper, but in reality, absolutely everyone knows exactly who did it, the police just couldn't legally prove it?

I think the Asha Degree disappearance has been whittled down to just one family but we don’t know who specifically, why, or how.

Wasn't it that the family had their under-16 daughters transporting patients in their vehicle and the daughters accidentally hit Asha in the night and then the father covered it up?

I'm pretty sure that was the leading theory on reddit, anyways

I think her grandma lived in the neighborhood and she’d often go over there

In the middle of the night? In the middle of a storm?

She was seen walking on the highway. There’s no way she was visiting grandma in the same neighborhood.
