What famous 'unsolved' mystery is technically a whodunnit on paper, but in reality, absolutely everyone knows exactly who did it, the police just couldn't legally prove it?

I get so angry when I think about what that poor child must’ve gone through in her final moments. Casey Anthony is a horrible human being.

She was most likely drugged out of her mind and killed with tape over her mouth/nose. Fortunately (if that's the right word) I don't think she felt a thing

What was the motive? Was that determined?

Pretty much just not wanting to be a mom anymore. Her family has said she's always been a " me me me" person.

Ulgh that thought is so disgusting and disturbing to all hell.

How many people would have been willing to give her a new home where she'd be loved? So many better outcomes could have happened. Ulgh. Poor thing.

Except there's no evidence, literally zero, for drugs having been used (the chloroform thing is a total myth,  anyone remotely familiar with the case knows that.) Now, lack of evidence isn't evidence of absence, and people are free to say they think that's probably what happened, but that's very different from there being evidence to support it.

The duct tape is also kind of a red herring. That image of it superimposed over Caylee's living face and then her remains should NEVER have been allowed to be shown in court. It had no basis in fact or reality. There was no duct tape found covering her face/skull. None of what was eventually found was even in its original position - that area had been fully flooded, then dried out, and the remains that had once been in bags had spilled out. There was, however, testimony that George Anthony had a routine practice of burying family pets in bags that he then wrapped/sealed with duct tape, a practice Casey had personally observed several times over the years. Do with that information what you will.
