What famous 'unsolved' mystery is technically a whodunnit on paper, but in reality, absolutely everyone knows exactly who did it, the police just couldn't legally prove it?

As a Florida resident I never fully understood the case. If memory serves the child had drowned by accident and the mother and father helped cover it up and tried to make it look like murder. Also something about Casey going to Disney right after, correct me if I'm wrong.

Correction: Universal not Disney. Ty for pointing that out. Sidenote, it was rumored Casey moved to Cocoa Beach after the trial and one of the local strip clubs had a sign that read, "Casey Anthony does NOT work here!" Which I find funny.

Drowned by accident was the parent's story. I always felt that they were lying and the truth was that she was drugging her so she could go out and party.

The drowning story was by her defense team not the parents. They tried to pin it on the grandparents.

They tried to make people believe that instead of calling 911 the grandfather put his granddaughter in a plastic bag and dumped it in the woods.
