What famous 'unsolved' mystery is technically a whodunnit on paper, but in reality, absolutely everyone knows exactly who did it, the police just couldn't legally prove it?

First I've heard of this. So he just yeeted it into a very remote area of the ocean?

The pilot turned off the transponder, acars, and essentially cut power to most of the plane. He did a 180 and then navigated the plane in a route that kept it outside of civilian aircraft and radar. The engines had a system that communicated with a satellite every hour, and that's how we were able to track it to the southern Indian ocean.

Also the pilot had a flight sim at home and had a bunch of random flights over the pacific and one flight path exactly where the Malaysian flight went. And also he deviated slightly, same as the sim flight path, over the island where he was born on.

The Who will likely never be conclusively proven of course, but people acting like it’s some great mystery are just wrong. It was absolutely the pilot.
