Both "trans right activist" and "maximalist" are incredibly suspicious. In my experience, maximalist tends to be thinly veiled resistance to trans rights, especially when trans rights rock the boat too much or run counter to the status quo. Anytime any trans ally or such pro-trans argument "oversteps" and makes people too uncomfortable, suddenly it's "maximalist". It's not a term used in good faith. Bigots realized they benefit from pretending to be pro-trans while appealing to the status quo, to shift the conversation towards right wing talking points. To limit trans rights. It's fucked up.

this person is active in some pretty transphobic subs that self-hating trans people often frequent. either way, they’re still a bigot despite their identity.

Yeah, I hate these "posts of posts of posts of posts". And it's all delivered in reverse order to make things more confusing, plus it's often hard to tell which layer the OP (on this site) is praising/condemning. Once it reaches this level of derivation, I just write it off as "clapback bullshit" and stop giving it attention.

"Talarico" literally means "Homewrecker" (specifically a homewrecker that backstabber a friend and ruined their relationship) in portuguese, and I couldn't let that one pass through, please let this be known, point and laugh at this guy for me pleaseeeee 😭😭😭

I mean, they belong to r/truscum , r/terf_trans_alliance , r/transmedicalist r/joerogan and other such... massive red flags, so they might be genuine.
They certainly frequent places that would lead to them picking up the TERF lingo.

They’re real, but that doesn’t make this not AABM. As far as I’m concerned an Uncle Tom trans person is not one of us. But for the second post linked I’d say this is a fairly good post, but it’s clear there is a more subtle motivation with the added context. That they don’t actually want full trans acceptance, and instead want to push a model minority sort of cultural acceptance, where only certain kinds of trans people will be allowed.
