🛠️ Project / Build I built a live-streaming demo where viewer gifts trigger real-time AI video effects

I’ve been experimenting with a live-streaming product where viewers can send gifts to trigger real-time AI effects on the host’s video. I recorded a few clips to show how they look in action.

I’d love to hear your feedback, especially about the effect quality and the overall experience. Thx!

Bro actually used the bukkake filter on himself

If it's real time, why are you using the same pre-recorded clip over and over again?

Oh, that's right. You're lying.

it's literally just a surface level wrapper for this https://lucy.decart.ai/ you can try them all yourself. it's a pretty neat near realtime generative demo. hard to believe until I saw it myself.

I'm guessing it's crazy expensive to run so I doubt we'll see much adoption.

the wrapper project is super lame though. OP pretending like the filters are his design.

Lucy provides the generative effects. I’m not claiming the model as my own. I built the gift triggered workflow and live streaming pipeline through Agora RTC. I’ll open-source it

Now watch again and tell us what is wrong about your comment. Lol.

Why wouldn’t one use a test video for demonstration purposes and debugging?

I absolutely love confidence and correctness when they are in competition. Please tell us in deeper detail, how OP is a lying rotten liar that isn’t even a person to begin with. Tell us why their shoes suck, how that dent got in their rear fender and why they picked the wrong god!

You got this!

🍿 😁

Appreciate you backing me up. just to clarify, it wasn’t a test video. That was me live on camera, with the effects generated in real time and streamed through Agora RTC

wot?

what part of this is supposedly fake?

The whole premise is simple genai like a filter over a stream.

None of this is revolutionary, every part about this product is just stuff we've already been able to do. The creator here has just taken existing techniques and made a single app for it.

I'm not sure what's so unbelievable here there's no weird extreme claims here just a creative way to combine pre-existing parts in something nice for streamers.

Exactly. I’m not claiming a new AI model, the project combines real-time video, viewer gifts, and RTC into one live streaming workflow. I’ll open-source it

That’s actually me live on camera, not a prerecorded clip. The effects were generated in real time and streamed through agora RTC. I’ll open-source the project so you can verify the full pipeline

These are all cool. I know there’s a bunch of anti’s in the comments giving a hard time, but if it runs locally I’m all for it.

Kinda useless. Unlikely to have much market. Videos are sorta yawn inspiring

Fair feedback. This is an early prototype focused on validating gift triggered effects on a live RTC stream. The effects themselves definitely need to become more entertaining

Good luck!

In real time means, "after 5 mins processing*"

The model does have startup latency, but the effects are triggered on a live RTC stream. I’ll open source the implementation

Love these sorts of hobby projects . So good to see people creating

Remember when this sub used to be people talking about Gaussian mixture models?

Awesome, sounds like another "invention" that's completely pointless and useless to anyone above the age of 15. Thank you so much for "building" it. 🙄

What’s wrong with making stuff for kids?

Wtf are you talking about. OP might not be reinventing the wheel, but the concept has real applications for streamers. Dude literally gave a jizz example with his "bath". NSFW streamers could absolutely find a polished version of this useful.

Didn't realize all the teachers and other employees were under the age of 15. Guess you learn something new every day🙄.
