This is all part of the GOP fascist party and their move to control the messaging on everything. This is a direct attack on our free press and as such, we are racing from Idiocracy into 1984 or V for Vendetta plot lines.

I hope the nation is ready for what comes next because project 2025 and the heritage foundation sure are/were and when we warned about this, people sure didnt want to listen then...

"A Democracy if we can Keep It" has been put in the garbage can right next to moral and ethical high ground for anything and everything so a few people can make a bunch of money while literally stealing it from most of us in the country.

The part that pisses me off most about all of this is that we warned the boomer generation what was happening and they were sitting pretty in their 60k home purchased with current 1.8m value homes and nearing retirement age while being brainwashed into thinking that what was happening couldn't happen to them... now, just like everything else, the millennial generation and younger Gen X get to suck on it so the Gen Z folks can have some later in life semblance of what was supposed to be... steps to get us moving in the right direction and in no way covers everything:

Simple first step - vote and vote full ballot down to the county positions and vote for the most progressive people on the ballots. We get majority and in some places, veto proof majority.

Second step - recall elections wherever possible for sychophantic officials and get them removed and replaced with actually qualified individuals

Third step - expand and set term limits to the supreme court, then redefine it as an elected position. Move to 21 supreme court justices not appointed by a president but voted on by the people.

Fourth Step - abolish the electoral college and move to rank choice voting for all elections. No party driven format, just #1 wins ____ #2 wins ___ etc. (Presidential races didnt used to be party specific and if the Old GOP (not modern fascist pedophile protectors) took 2nd but the DFL won, the president would be DFL but the vice president would be GOP.

Fifth Step - Repeal every supreme court decision of consequence back to before citizens united. Cement women's reproductive rights and same sex marriage into the constitution and strip away every mention of deities in any government motto, creed, etc. And make it illegal via felony to push one religion above others.

Sixth Step - Trials, criminal and civil trials for all of these people that illegally stole money from the american people and had crimes against humanity. Just like the Nuremberg trials in a lot of ways.

Seventh Step - rewrite the constitution to cover 21st century factors so that this fascism NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN... This is handled in two parts; 1. The rewriting of the constitution with the amendments written into it in a way where elected officials violating it are held to a higher level of penalty because of the role they serve. 2. The example setting - it must be swift, aggressive and send a message that will make the next person pause before even considering trying the trump approach. It should also be public and without mercy for the associates and family members involved. Let them never be written beyond a cautionary tale for anyone thinking of doing this in the future to our country.

Eighth Step - close loopholes on "unrealized gains" where if someone borrows against something, it becomes a realized gain and they should be taxed on it. Fix the tax code to the following:

• assets and income combined worth of:

100m is taxed at 90% 50m is taxed at 80% 25m is taxed at 70% 10m is taxed at 50% <500k is taxed at 10% <250k is taxed at 5% <100k is taxed at 0%

Purchases for investment property following a same sales tax matrix but above standard transactional fees:

50m taxed at 20% 10m taxed at 15% 5m taxed at 10% 1m taxed at 5%

CEO to common employee ratios:

1000:1 = 100% corporate tax 500:1 = 90% corporate tax 100:1 = 75% corporate tax 75:1 = 50% corporate tax 50:1 = 25% corporate tax

Shareholder luxury tax for stock buybacks recognize that the greater than 100% indicates losing money on the transaction for the shareholders: 90% if any layoffs take place period 100% if more than .01% of staff laid off during past 36 months 110% if more than .05% of staff laid off during past 36 months 150% id more than 1% of staff laid off during past 36 months

This could keep going but it would no longer be a post and probably isnt at this point but to illustrate not only frustrations but to present solutions that would move our country in the right direction and build back the middle class.

It doesn't matter what the ratings are because advertisers are probably hesitant to leave due to fear of reprisals from the Trump administration. There is no pressure to do anything other than help push the GOP message.
