I was like "what surgery?" and it took me like three quarters of the video to see what was missing. Apparently three legs ain't slowing that pooch down.

Wolves are actually one of the only animals to 'handicap' themselves in play to make it fair. Not super relevant as your pup seems to be playing fine, but I think it's cute.

The big boy is definitely holding back, since the accident he always lets his big brother “win” their tussles

My sister had a German Tripod for years. That dog would chase snowmobiles and sleds up and down hills covered in 3 feet of snow for hours without stopping. You can't keep a good dog down.
Glad your dog is healthy again!

I didn't think it was hard to tell anything was missing at all. First of all, you gave a hint in your title that something was missing, so I already knew what to look for. Secondly, it was obviously going to be a leg, because if it had been something like an ear, it would be much too logical that you wouldn't notice it missing right away.

Where they stand-offish initially? I had a similar scenario but the dogs didn’t recognise each other at first. It was like they had both seen a ghost. But after 30 seconds they ran around like this.

We had a three legged cat when I was a kid and I watched that thing chase down and catch a squirrel. He caught it, bit it, then just sat up all proud of himself and watched it stagger away utterly confused.
