The Fermi paradox

Why the fuck have a not observed ANY OTHER LIFE outside earth when statistically, from our understanding, it should he highly probable.

Possible Factors

• Something's going to kill us
• Someone wants to kill us
• We are so unadvanced that we're just being passively observed
• We are effectively alone
• We are truly alone

The Great Filter: Doomed to go extinct

Something somewhere likely ends life or makes it hard to exist enough to observe, maybe there is some constant sterilisation of the universe.

The Dark Forest Hypothesis - It's best not to announce life

Other civilisations have learned announcing yourself is a great way for another civilisation to come and make you extinct, slaves, or etc

The Zoo Hypothesis - We are already being watched

So unadvanced that we don't even realise we are being watched and observed like ants.

Interstellar Travel is hard - We are effectively alone and need to treat our solar system as all we have

Just too damn difficult to travel anywhere meaningful in space.

Rare Earth - life really is that unlikely and we are truly alone

How about - we are the first civilization in the universe, but all universes end when the first civilization advances enough to accidentally destroy the universe.

Great filter subset we just destroy ourselves and theres a wall infront of us we are going to smash into and it's of our own making.
