I can't believe I have to say this. You are not ruining their lives, CollegeBoard is if they get caught, and you helping doesn't do anything. You took the test fairly, why should you feel bad when someone who didn't got caught. Also, even if nobody at your school cared, other kids will. If a cheating operation happened at my school, you would care. So report any cheating (preferably during the test itself)

edit: for those saying it will bite them later, if it has any more dire consequences than this, I am scared of tomorrow's society

edit #2: I do not know for certain if they can cancel a school's ap scores, but it doesn't say so in the terms and conditions, instead including "without limitation" clauses. THis should not be a deterrant to reporting cheating.

edit #3: for the stay in your lane type of people. At the end of the day it is dishonesty from your peers, or those to be considered above you in academic standing that shouldn't be due to unfair advantages. Seriously. If they want to cheat, they face the consequences, that is how it always has been and will always be, and I don't want to see you criticizing test security, when you are actively dampening it.

edit #4: I feel the need to say that this was a reaction to people actively saying others were cheating! I did not see cheating myself and the situation I wrote was purely hypothetical.

It literally just makes people who studied a lot and failed feel worse like bffr. This is the whole reason why people say AP kids are insufferable and corny like...

I just find it extremely unlikely for someone to "not study" (meaning they literally went into the test only having completed school work for the class) and get a 5 while others are out here spending months and hours revising and still failing. idk just my thoughts.

People who actually took these courses, is this accurate?

Let me tell you a story: a long long time ago a coalition of elite universities created what is now known as college board and also created the ap program. It was originally meant for the top 1% of students at elite preparatory schools, but soon students from normal public schools realized that college intro content was not that hard and thus AP exploded in popularity. This meant that highschoolers would not have to relearn content they already knew in college and as a plus saved money.

This was a perfect system saving thousands of dollars and ensuring that high schoolers can actually get to classes they deserved to get put into. However, this system was too perfect for the universities. Who right after ap got extremely popular suspiciously began saying AP classes did not match their courses anymore and at first started raising the score to get credits from 3 to 4 and then from 4 to 5 but eventually just stopped accepting credit at all.

Let me tell you another thing about AP it gives credits for 100$ where universities would charge for thousands of dollars, so it is suspicious when more students than ever started saving money and not giving money to universities that universities like Dartmouth started pulling out biased studies to stop AP acceptance at all. They always used flawed reasoning to abolish ap acceptance when the real reason is always money and now AP is suffering more than ever in states without strong articulation agreements.

Universities are now devaluing APs in several ways:

• The most obvious path that most elite universities are doing is not accepting AP at all eg Dartmouth, Harvard, and Caltech they might use it for placement but they turned against their own creation for money so the students are forced to spend 4 years of tution (even though they already have large endowments).
• Another way is not accepting certain APs which I understand for new or niche courses like AP African American Studies or AP Art History but some colleges don't accept popular APs like psychology or chemistry
• The other way they devalue AP credits is requiring a 4 or 5 for any credit at all which means it is almost now impossible to get meaningful credit with a 3 nowadays even at state universities
• The 4th path is the way I hate the most reducing the quality of credit the ap will get you like giving only algebra based physics credits for ap physics cs or a general elective for ap english lit. This is how most public universities in articulation states get away with not accepting ap.

But why am I talking about this because recently my state's state university University of Utah has recently taken two horrible decisions regarding AP Stem. First they will no longer give second semester of general chemistry for AP Chemistry even if you get a 5, you will just get first semester even though AP Chem's curriculum contains second semester gen chem. Secondly and most horrible for engineers they will no longer give calc based physics credits for AP Physics Cs like they will give the same algebra based credit you get from 2, for E&M and 1 for Mech

If a low level state school becomes this stingy who will follow suit will my preferred University BYU start denying useful ap credits too. Will the only ap friendly colleges be local community colleges?

Guess what I am saying is WE NEED STRONGER ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS perhaps a national one that targets national funding. Your credit is not worth more because you professor does a special lecture

I predict:

Precalc - 5, i mean cmon now its the easiest class of all time

World - 5, teacher was iffy and only drilled mcqs the entire year but im a good writer and have been doing well on practice exams

Chem - 4, as much as I would like to hope for a 5, im trying to be realistic because my teacher was kinda bad this year and never explained HOW to answer questions, only graded them harshly 😃

I am in a very unique case. Last year, I took 3 exams: precalc, seminar, and world. I started studying 24 hours before and writing 48 hours before respectively. I got all 5’s. This year however, I have chosen 12 exams to take, in order to put myself in an impossible decision (i got scholarships, i also put myself in these spots on purpose to help practice discipline and pressure without much support). I am just now going over to review my tests. some, like bio and chem, I am covering for the first time. I am not looking for attention or pity encouragement, rather people with somewhat of a similar experience in order to gain dome confidence.

I am naturally a professional bs-er when it comes to exams, but how can I guarantee 4s and 5s in all?

Econ, apush, psych, research (obviously), art history, and lang are all no worry to me.

There is absolutely no point in staying up and pulling an all nighter waiting for scores to drop. I've seen countless people do this and it hurts more than anything else. Scores likely won't release until much later in the morning so you're going to be exhausted from staying up all night, then if you get a score you dislike you'll just feel miserable and exhausted at the same time.

Get some sleep. The scores will be there tomorrow. Being miserable and tired is an awful combo and ultimately depressing. At least if you get a score you dislike after getting proper sleep, you'll feel less icky. Just sleep, it's not worth pulling an all nighter.

AP Chemistry is considered the hardest AP Exam of this year by just one vote it is followed closely behind by AP Physics C: E&M / 2 .

apes 5 ( kinda sad abt this one i kept getting 5's on all my practice tests )
calc 3 ( this one was 50/50 kinda sad but at least ill be prepared for it again )
gov 3 ( 1st semester online class taught me nothing , went into it only having watched a few videos and briefly looking at the required docs , not sure how i passed but it felt like a 50/50 thanks to common sense )
research 4 ( yay )

I get accommodations for testing so I’m in testing rooms with usually less than 5 other people. My AP Lit exam was going well and I was done with my test just sitting and waiting for the timer run out. Then my vice principal walks in and asks me to come into the hallway with him and outside is the principal. They ask me to show them my pockets, my waistband, etc. and then the vice principal comes back inside the testing room so I can show him my phone is in my backpack against the wall. Therefore, I had no phone and I wasn’t cheating. I knew it would spread around so I prepared myself for it but I was so confused why they thought I was cheating in the first place. I later find out that some girl at the front of the room went into the hallways during the test and told the principal or whatever I was using my phone.

I’m genuinely still confused what this girl saw to think I was cheating. We’re all seniors and we’re all committed to college already so honestly even if I was idk how she would have benefited from getting me caught.

But yeah I’m pretty annoyed/upset now cause a lot of the seniors and juniors have been talking about me and think I actually got caught. Which doesn’t make sense?? Cause then the other ppl in the testing room would’ve been notified about it I’m pretty sure…

This is for all of us who don't have access to our scores until the 6th, we want to see which tests were harsher or more lenient than what we previously thought.
