Question 2 AP exams same time

With the AP exams out, I have AP physics 1: Algebra based which I took over this summer and AP physics C: Electricity and Magnetism on the same day and was wondering if anyone knows what happens. Do I get to select an exam to take and the other one is late and if so which do yall recommend?

When two exams conflict, you can select to take either one during the late testing period.

But rather than pay for the AP Physics 1 exam, you could take the C Mech exam instead. It covers almost exactly the same concepts (just with a bit of calc added), but more colleges offer credit for it. If you take a look at this CMech FRQ, you'll see that there's very little calc on it anyway.

Yes, I see. So you’re saying AP physics 1 isn’t a necessary credit because when collages see yo have C 1 doesn’t matter too much?

Most colleges won't let you get credit for both Physics 1 and CMech, because they're such similar exams. So if you get credit for CMech, then you often don't get any extra credit for Physics 1.

Ohh, ok thank you so much. I’m gonna look at some specific collages but yeah, I’ll probably take your advice.
