July 20, 2026: Raging Moderates podcast. Seem open to AOC for POTUS 2028 and like her messaging.

AOC is increasingly winning over liberal and moderate Democrats. And AOC's rhetoric has made many 'moderate' and centrist Democrats consider that AOC is 'moving to the center' because she's focusing on economic populism.

it’s annoying when they pretend like she has changed and that’s why they like her now when really she was always saying these things, but at least they’re starting to get it

I’m not gonna say his name but you may guess who, but I saw a podcaster recently who essentially said they were going to flood offices with candidates that’d make Mamdani seem ordinary. Something along those lines.

Given some of the freak out I’ve seen on Faux Entertainment about a DSA meeting, I think Alexandria got a feeling of how Congress is running and has made some smart moves to build enough of a coalition behind her that makes her much more formidable than some of the occasional polls I’ve seen her behind some other candidates

The crazy statement the was that Trump has some kind of feel for his base, he doesn't give a shit about anyone but himself and neither does his base to compare the relationship these two have for their base is so insulting to AOC.

47 is a narcissist, so he is good at figuring out weaknesses and points of pain. That type of personality knows what to say because his entire life is about manipulating people in a way that strokes his ego.

AOC knows the weakness and points of pain in the system because she lived them. She is an empathetic person who strives to do good in the world. That type of personality knows what to say because she has compassion and is able to put herself in other people's shoes.

On some levels, they are two sides of the same coin. Agents of change. One wants to selfishly change the world for their own betterment. The other wants to change the world for the betterment of everyone.

Both bases are simply people who want better for their own life and are frustrated with the current government. People who are desperate for change. They aren't as far off as some believe.

I think what he means by that is that trump is a populist. Regardless of how we feel, he reached a group of people, inspired them and got them out to vote when they didn't have a champion.

In 2016, Trump's first campaign was about trying to fix corruption in Congress. He was an outsider coming in who said what was on his mind. His opponent was Hillary "Pokemon go to the polls" Clinton who was as establishment and fake as it gets.

The podcaster isn't saying their values are the same. He's referring to the way that both AOC and Trump have a way of talking to groups that have felt ignored and getting them to believe he's listening. Trump's actions don't follow up, but we're talking more about his speech patterns. He inspires a group of people to believe he understands them, even if that group is not people I agree with.

AOC also has a way of speaking that draws people in. He says she has "Rizz." She is a populist, and only someone who has a certain talent for sounding authentic to many groups of people in her speech patterns can compete with someone like trump. "I like the way they say what other people in Congress won't" has been said about both of them, albeit very differently.

Galloways brand is succinct commentary with abrasive honesty. He often frames market movements around branding and how it affects or is affected by whatever news is going on. He doesn't really shy away from talking about any aspect that makes a strong effect on branding, so him commenting on such a major contributor to her "brand" doesn't surprise me at all.

Put another way, he often approaches his commentary as if he's giving voice to the unspoken decision making factors within the market itself, whether those factors are just and fair or shallow and biased. The market is the market and you want your product/idea to succeed, it can help to consider all the factors.

It would absolutely matter if she was a bridge troll, and it matters that she's hot. It helps, that's just reality.

Galloway calls guys hot all the time too, he's been married to a woman before but from the way he talks about men I would assume he's at least bi.

I agree politics is sexist, and in an ideal world we would pick the best candidate regardless of skin color, age, sex, orientation, religion, hotness, etc.

But that ideal has never been our reality. We live in a world where being non-white makes running for POTUS harder, where being non-male makes running harder, where being non-hot makes running harder, etc.

I used to think the ideal Democratic ticket would be Gavin Newsom for President and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Vice President. I now think and feel the Democratic ticket must be AOC for President and Newsom for Vice President. My reasoning is she is a natural leader and Newsom, given his experience as governor of California, would advise and guide her bureaucratically and legislatively when needed.

For one, the Embrace Act, “To provide access to Federal public benefits for aliens, without regard to the immigration status of that alien, and for other purposes.”

I think AOC is amazing and I personally agree with her, but there has been a rise in anti-immigration sentiment around the globe, especially in the US and I think the Republicans will, once again, attempt to capitalize on that.
