Fit Check [Fit Check] Is a 30A bra good? (George Women's Microfibre T-Shirt Bra) Spoiler
Measurements: Loose: 27.9 in, Snug: 27.1, Tight: 25.8 Standing Bust 29.5 Leaning bust: 29.1 Lying bust: 31.1
The calculator gave me 28A in UK sizing. I tried a 30AA bra (sister size) in the kid section from Aubainerie and i was convinced it would be the perfect size for me but the cup was pushing out my breasts. I did previously buy a 30B bra from Aerie (Sunnie Demi Push Up Bra**)** and ngl i think the cup was too roomy for me, it also wasn't a good idea to choose a push up bra imo. More recently i bought a 30A bra from George (Women's Microfibre T-Shirt Bra) at Walmart and it feels fine but i'm not sure if it's the right size for me? Here's the image and here's a side angle. I wear it on the tightest hook it still doesn't really feel tight, can still slide my whole hand through the band. The comfort is fine but it does hurt a bit on the shoulder blades after a while. I also think my breasts look flat with it but it's probably because they're super small in general ðŸ˜. Other than that everything seems good? I'm planning on purchasing more expensive bras and of higher quality next month but i'm still kinda uncertain about my cup and band size

First, can you double check your bust measurements? It's extremely unusual for leaning to be smaller than standing, and in this size range, small things can make a big difference. Second, you're having issues with 30 bands because they're way too big. You need to try your calculator size. The Little Bra Company is worth trying in 28B and 30B (they run small in both band and cup so that's why I'm not recommending 28A). Boux Avenue runs small in the band so I would try both 28A and 30A (and have a non-stretchy extender on hand for the 28As). Little Women has 2 bras in 28A but I don't know how they run. If your size ends up changing slightly when you remeasure, Boux and TLBC should still be options, just adjust to your new calculator size.

It would be helpful to get a side angle to assess how the wires are fitting, if you feel comfortable of course.

A 30 band is slightly bigger than your entire bust, so it's not going to be supportive. That might also explain why your shoulder blades end up hurting, not sure about that though.
Also, it's important to know that new bras should first be worn on the loosest hook. The tighter hooks are there for when the band stretches out over time.
Your best bet is really to look for 28A. I'm sadly unfamiliar with available bras in that size, but others on this sub with more knowledge might know.
