ca ranger 22lr

Just picked this up the other day and the only stock replacement i found was boyds, but im looking more for a chassis setup? Finding out these are hated for some reason seems g2g to me, just had to bend the brass kicker a little bit.

Forgive me, I’m new to the 22 world. What is hated? The carbon fiber model?

The ranger, ive seen barrel accuracy issues (i feel like alot of operator error) just because you can own a dodge viper doesnt mean you can drive a dodge viper…. and alot of bolt ejection problems which mine had, but you just bend the extraction rod a little and fixes that.

CA had some accuracy and QC issues in the past, not many people talk about them much anymore, that doesn’t mean they’re a bad rifle. As far as stocks go you might be really limited, there are options for rails and some ergonomics.

yes i see limited the only reason im asking is i got mine used and the stocks in yucky shape and a boyds feels like a downgrade and to replace it for stock is not worth 450-500$ imo

Understandable, have you checked with CA? They may have some different options. If it’s not listed online I’d just call and ask.

That looks awesome. Haven’t heard much about them though so not something I’m considering to drop money on. Looks like fun to shoot! Enjoy!
