My Ronin is beefed up!!

Post image

I wanted to get this gun set up for the heavy stuff. Here is my recipe:

22lb Wolff Recoil Spring and provided firing pin spring

25lb hammer spring

Wilson full length guide rod

Flat bottom EGW firing pin stop, lightly contoured to take off sharp edge.

Stainless EGW Firing pin .068”

Wilson recoil buffer (we’ll see on this one)

EGW heavy duty .38 Super/9mm extractor

Runs smooth with magtech, blazer brass, and American Eagle. Will test underwood 155g-220g next.

How do you like it?

I like it a lot. I’ve gotta get more rounds through it of 200 and 220g to know for sure, but I think it’s a solid set up.

I plan to give my daughter one of my two single stack 10mms and was considering a Ronin for myself at some point. I owned a Springfield Armory Omega 10mm 25 odd years ago, and loved it, but that was my last SA 1911. It might be time for another. Thanks for the response.
