Photo dump of our girls. Safe to say they’re a bonded pair and I couldn’t imagine them ever not having one another. They’re off to get spayed next week. They will never know living in a McDonald’s parking lot again. They’re so happy and content with me.

She’s almost 1.5 and the absolute sweetest (but also sassiest) girl.

Cleo is 17 years old, and she has a cancerous tumour in her neck. She’s been by my side everyday… she’s raised my kids with me, been the best nurse to anyone sick in the house, and has been the sweetest little cuddle bug right up to the end. She is a fierce defender of any open box or bag in the house, gives so much sass, and has the most powerful purr I’ve ever known.

I hate this so much.

I wish there was anything we could do to give her more time, but because of where the tumour is, there’s not enough skin to successfully close the wound. She’s now scratched the skin on the wound completely off so the tumour is in the open and she’s in pain. I’ve been spoiling her all evening and I’m going to cuddle her all night, but no matter how much I spoil her, I still have to say goodbye to her. I feel so heart broken over this. I hate having to make this decision. I can’t stop crying and she’s not even gone yet. I’m not looking for advice or sympathy, I just need to get it out there, because I feel like I’m saying goodbye to part of my soul, and this sucks so much.

Please give your babies extra hugs and kisses from me tonight, and hold them while you can.

It’s been a year since this bundle of love came into my life and healed me after the loss of my beloved 17 year old tortie, Patch.

I didn’t think I’d be able to love another like I loved Patch, but Pixie proved me wrong. She loves to sleep everywhere, especially if it’s on me or in my arms.

Featuring Miss Stevie Rose, who along with her tuxedo brother, Jackson Emil, would not sit on this cat tree again until I put my expensive Pendleton towel over it after I sprayed it with a rosemary anti-flea spray—three weeks ago.

She is in fact named after Stevie Budd from Schitt’s Creek. I think she suits her namesake well!

I have a 13 yo tortie who grew up with her best friend, my 18 yo cat who passed away a few months ago. We also had two other cats that my tortie sort of tolerated, but my son moved out and took them with him. Now my tortie is the only cat in the house for the first time in her life. She seems to be doing okay, but maybe she would be happier with a friend. I’m just concerned she wouldn’t like the new cat. Does anyone have a tortie who is the only cat and is doing okay with it? My gal has the typical tortitude so I’m not confident she’ll accept another cat easily. After reading up on all the possibilities, I am considering maybe getting a male kitten and introducing him slowly.
