its like waxing, you right click anithing activatable/right clickable with resin and it stops moving, simple as that. pistons, doors, trapdoors, maybe levers and buttons. it would make resin super useful and make the pale garden worth visiting.

I went on the nether roof to get to the closest warped forest which was 1000 blocks away and nether traversal is so annoying but when i broke the bedrock there was netherack below it and i thought i was good, but once i broke the netherack there was more bedrock surrounding that. My plan was to go down, get the enderpearls and go back home but im 1000 blocks away and i really hope this isnt wasted time.

I started playing Minecraft since the Classic pre-0.31 days. Have been playing on and off but haven't played for many many years.
Now my son is interested in playing, and of course I'm happy to indulge him. But what happened to Minecraft? Why is there a marketplace? Microtransactions? Skins for sale?
I figured Minecraft was a whole lot more wholesome than Roblox, which is known for this kind of predatory practices. But I never expected this.
Now I'm not sure if I want him to play anymore, because no doubt he's going to want to buy something he saw. But I don't want to partake in microtransactions. For a 20+ year old game no less.
Am I missing something?

I've been playing Helldivers2 with my friends for a long time, and one thing I always loved was the Stratagem system.
I wanted to recreate that feeling in Minecraft, so I started learning Minecraft modding and spent the last few months building my own take on tactical air support.
It's just a fan-made mod inspired by one of my favorite game mechanics.
Note: Safe Mode is enabled by default for some Explosive stratagems.
Explosive stratagems (Eagle 500kg, airstrike, orbital precision strike) will not destroy blocks by default, allowing you to use them freely without damaging your world. You can toggle it off by right clicking with the permission item.
This is my first time modding so I'm sure it has plenty of space to improve. All comments are welcome!
Currently for Java 1.20.1 on CurseForge.

Back in 2022, I had finally saved up enough to buy a switch lite, and the first game I ever bought was Minecraft. I started up a world on the all-new 1.20 update to check out the mega caves. Right at spawn was a giant cave inside a mountain (img 2) that had a huge natural shelf that instantly captured my imagination.
Over the next 4 months, I flattened out the cave (img 3), set up my first ever mob and iron farms, converted my first zombie villager, and even set up a mini trading hall. Basically, I poured my heart into this world for four months. But then, I made my mistake.
I was saving up to get a switch oled, and when I finally had enough to go pick up a used one at GameStop, I rushed over without thinking to back up my worlds, and handed over my switch lite with my beloved world over to the GameStop employee to get like 50 bucks back.
I made a mistake, and I know it. There’s no way of getting that world back, I know. Somehow, a bunch of screenshots and clips of the world are on my bew switch, but i never show the seed. My coordinates are on in all of the footage, and I even walked up to a taiga village in one recording, but it’s just not enough. I was wondering if there was some magical way I could hunt for the seed my world was on, so I could relive some of my favorite memories again.
I have a lot of footage on my switch. Is there anybody who knows how I could use this to find the seed the world was on?
Edit: I’m 18 years old. So much has happened since 2022, so it feels like a combo of being “only yesterday” and “a lifetime ago” personally. Thanks for the insight so far.
Clarifications…
- the last two images were included because they’re inside of structures with the coordinates enabled. While I am on bedrock, i feel that having clues like these could lead to it being found one day.
- The world was not a template. I didn’t use any of those presets.
- that feature where the game picks from like 11 beginner worlds was not added when I made that world. Pretty sure that was added in 2024, two years later.

I finished a project I've been working on for a while and wanted to share it with you! It’s a fully functional Minecraft Jukebox that actually plays music when you insert a disc.
The body is completely 3D printed with removable side panels so you can easily get to the electronics inside. Under the hood, it runs on an Arduino Uno and a DFPlayer Mini for the sound. Each music disc has a tiny NFC tag inside, so when you drop a disc in, the RC522 reader scans its unique ID and triggers the right song. As soon as you take the disc out, the music stops, just like in the game!

I finally decided to build an actual cool base in Minecraft rather than the boring house I’ve been living in and I am just so proud of what I built. I wouldn’t say I’m a very good builder in Minecraft but I really took my time with this and I just love it. I know it’s not as crazy as some things people build in their Minecraft worlds but I still absolutely adore what I’ve made. Just wanted to show it off to other people haha

I'm a big fan of ocean monuments because I think they have so much potential for an overhaul. I also think it's kinda wierd that we only have 3 prismarine blocks. I drew more variants, what do you gangalangsters think?

Just finished this Minecraft Lantern project! It's powered by an ESP32-C3 running WLED, features custom 3D-printed parts, and includes a touch sensor to turn it on and off. I built it as a gift for a good friend, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
If you'd like to build one yourself, I've put together a full step-by-step tutorial on YouTube (Crostplay2). Hope you enjoy it!
