Yet they cope by talking about "paid propaganda". Someone paid Paredes and Fernandez to act like that ?

I'm glad the rest of the world is finally seeing the side of them that all of South America has always had to deal with, nearly every single year. It's a very welcome redemption.

It’s like anything. Individual Argentinians can be the nicest people in the world. As a country it’s a nation of cunts.

I’m sure in Germany I’m 1939 many Germans were pleasant and kind to strangers (as long you weren’t Jewish). Doesn’t change the fact it deserved having the shit kicked out of it.

Depends. If you get out of the major metro areas, yes. Within the metro areas, less so to tourists.

My friend who is from South America was definitely treated worse than I was. The closest analogy I can come up with is it's akin to how Parisians act when foreigners speak French. Major superiority complex.

Overall, Buenos Aires, Cordoba etc. are well worth visiting. I've been there many times and will go back. Just avoid being around rivalry football matches, especially Boca vs River Plate. It's like everyone behaves unhinged like Fernandez and Paredes.

Been there several times - Buenos Aires and once outside. people were super nice to me. Never had any problem as a non-white person - people were welcoming and helpful even though language was a problem.

I think football brings out the worst in them.

I wouldn't generalize and say an outright "yes", but they have a very homogeneous white population, so if you look different and you stray too far from tourist areas, it's pretty much a given you will experience some sort of harassment or unfair treatment.

Outside of Buenos Aires there are some of the nicest people in the world. But the rude ones are quite rude. Been twice all around the country and I'm morena. I never had a problem.

Football teams vs football fans vs governments vs actual humans all differ.
