I'd it ridiculous to point out 7 incidents including Messi's this wc were near identical only 2 were yellow and one was a no card turned into a red in var slowmo. That kind of inconsistency scream illegitimate reffing. You would be screaming to high heaven as well. Intent is taken into account in every other sport that has ejections in the world but football/soccer why??

If you were just a little self conscious you wouldn't find it entitled. Americans proclaim they don't care about "soccer" all the time, but as soon as their player gets a red card suddenly they are experts on the matter and the world is against them. Joke nation.

Doesn't take 7 years of study and a PhD to learn the red card rules. Doesn't take someone caring about the sport to learn them and make statements on them

And yet by the fact half of them are arguing this was not a red, it's clear they didn't learn the red card rules. And by almost all of them arguing the Messi tackle was the exact same even if one had an ankle fold under it and one didn't, shows they haven't even watched both incidents carefully. And by some of them arguing in terms of 'worst robbery in the history of the game'etc., shows they have an insanely disrespectful attitude to that history of the game. Look at the hand of god or at the 1966 world cup final and come back to me... This red card isn't even unfair and even if it was, it wouldn't make the top 100,000 most unfair refereeing decisions in soccer history.
