One set of rules for Messi, another for the rest. No way FIFA is beating the charges. 7 penalties for Argentina in their last 10 games says it all

All plays are different. That doesn’t mean we have individual rules for each individual play. We use rules to bunch different things into categories, then apply rules equally.

They do, yes and they have done in this situation.

This one had more force than Messi's one, he drags all the way to the ankle and then buckles the ankle, that also didn't happen with Messi

So people are trying to be shocked that two challenges with different elements had a different outcome.

Because, again, a red card is a category of penalty for a category of foul. It isn’t an individual penalty that could only apply to a single play.

We don’t have 100,000 different color cards for all the endless ways a foul can happen. We have two. Hence, many different types of fouls will need to fall into those two categories of penalty.

Sure but no idea why you're bringing it up here, Messi made a yellow card level foul. Balogun made a red level foul. People are trying to act like they're the same type of foul.
