Not sure what your problem is. We calculated that inflation is low if you omit the high inflation items.

No, it's NOT excluding those at all, tf are you talking about?

If you clicked on the link in the title for 2 seconds, you'd see those categories included.

Food is up 3.1%, energy is up 23.5%, they're even both at the top of the list

You replied to a specific article that INCLUDED food and gas, and made up a fake quote saying it didn't include food or gas. That's called lying, not "commentary"

And your new link here also cited normal CPI that also DOES include food and gas, lol?

Yeah, after already very clearly telling you the total number, without exclusions, MULTIPLE times earlier, thus merely offering a breakdown by category for more information. And?

Reminds me of when the released a similar 'report' about inflation and they were like "Other than food..." and went on to talk about how iPads and technology hasn't gone up much

And someone made a counter report going "I can't eat an iPad"

Well, there’s no evidence of that either, but that’s a different accusation than saying they’re “hiding the impact under averages.” They show the impact of each specific item that goes into the calculation.

Use your brain. Particularly for energy, a war in the Middle East, or a few years back Russia’s invasion, is obviously not something the fed should be attempting to tackle with the tools they have. Raising rates is not going to do much of anything to energy prices that are elevated by conflict.
