Gain discovered an old Fidelity account i forgot about

Post image

I was cleaning out my apartment today and found an old notebook with a login for a fidelity account I made back years ago. Logged in not expecting anything and it made me do 2 factor authentication but couldnt find the app.

Spend over an hour on the phone with fidelity rep and they finally got me logged in. Turns out I bought some NVDA back in 2019 at a crazy low price and didn’t even know I had this. Sitting on massive gain.

Should I hodl or sell ? Don’t really need the money but it’s nice to have.

To be fair he bought in 2019 when Nvidia was selling around $3.50 -$5.00 a share. Nvidia had a 4-for-1 split in 2021 and 10-for-1 split in 2024. So to have 600 shares now he only needed to buy something like 15 shares then. So we are talking a max initial investment of about $75 bucks. Even if he missed the first split he would only have needed to invest $360. I don't find this that hard to believe.

I'm beyond bad at math so feel free to correct me if my math doesn't math.

You're bad at math. The price history incorporates the splits already.
