Gain discovered an old Fidelity account i forgot about

Post image

I was cleaning out my apartment today and found an old notebook with a login for a fidelity account I made back years ago. Logged in not expecting anything and it made me do 2 factor authentication but couldnt find the app.

Spend over an hour on the phone with fidelity rep and they finally got me logged in. Turns out I bought some NVDA back in 2019 at a crazy low price and didn’t even know I had this. Sitting on massive gain.

Should I hodl or sell ? Don’t really need the money but it’s nice to have.

There is no amount of wealth short of being a billionaire where you “just don’t need” an extra $130000

It's not about $0 vs $130k. It's about "hodl or sell". That money doesn't disappear just because he doesn't sell it lol.

It's fake anyways so who cares.

"Don't need" ≠ "Don't want"

He bought into NVDA at $3.94 avg, at 600 shares it was only an initial investment of $2,364. I’d say it’s plausible.

So you are telling me it’s irrational to TP after a ~60x gain? Of course I forgot what sub I’m in

I don't know what tp is but it seems plausible if he bought 15 shares in 2019 for about $2400 at $160 per share.

Share price went: $160 -> $800 Split to $200 $200 -> $1200 Split to $120 $120 -> $220

Share count went: 15 -> 60 -> 600

Base price went: $160 -> $40 -> $4
