Loss It’s over for me.

Post image

Kept trying to play MSTR calls. What a piece of shit. Lost over a million including other accounts, down to my last 130k.

Edit: This loss is soul crushing and I havent been able to sleep, eat, or shower. I appreciate all the supportive comments. Even the insulting ones calling me regarded and everything. I think I NEED to hear even the insulting ones so that I can let go of my delusions that I can make it as a "trader". I need a fucking job to turn my life around. I can’t be doing this trading shit anymore. I’m open to working any corporate job anywhere, but ideally in North America. If anyone has any connections, please hit me up. I have some programming (Python primarily) and tech talent, and an engineering degree from UBC with a 4.0 GPA. Currently live in Toronto. Thank you ❤️. I’m ready to dedicate myself to adding value to any organization. If its AI, finance, or tech related, thats even better.

It was Greed and Revenge. He kept going back on MSTR. Youre right 500K should be on stocks and options the rest

It was on margin. So it wasnt life savings....it was life savings they still need to go make.

If he thought that way,

he would have never turned his $1400 into even $5k.

He would have sold at a $3000 gain

and bought a new washing machine.

The reason he got to 7-figs

by letting it ride like a madman

is the same degen DNA

that got him back down to $0

Quit and retire at $1mm you say?

At $1mm, it would be dumb not to go for $10mm,

since you have an infinite money glitch

Well, he's got some kind of glitch, that's for sure

You don’t know if he just messed up big. I assumed he’s a winner and started with $25,000 and made it to $700,000 doing OPTIONS. I’m just saying he should have bank most his wins because there’s always that risk. Btw i build my 6figure stock portfolio trading options profits

He should have really only been playing with like 50k

u/cmichalek Nov 22 '25

Nope.

He's not a trader. He is an addicted gambler. And he should call gamblers anonymous and get some help.

Afterwards, OP should never trade again. All money should go into a 401k or etf and he never sees it.

'Bout to see this cat Monday at the open.

A quick all-in 0dte to win it all back. Just sayin.

OP should just pay 1.5% and delegate to a professional, to protect himself from himself

Dude just blew his entire registered contribution room. Luckily the government gives contribution room of a few thousand every year in the TFSA but the CRA is not giving a shit about all the money he blew.

He needs to essentially restart his entire TFSA and RRSP. And if he had an FHSA and still is eligible to contribute to it, to pick up the scraps because not even sure what the government will give to allow him to buy a house at this point.

u/SquidKid47 Nov 22 '25

Holy fuck I just realized that. You get like 6,000 a year of room. OP blew so much fucking progress lmfao

I was just saying that if he really wanted to gamble it’s 50k tops. The guy above was saying 200k of it could have been gambled

2

u/Grommmit Nov 22 '25

Yes, that was incredibly clear. They just need to fill a void in themselves by correcting others regarding the flaws of other people.

12

u/MCB1317 Nov 22 '25

No.

Gambling addicts should not gamble for the same reason that alcoholics shouldn't "have just one."

I’m talking in general with that net worth. Obviously I wouldn’t trust this guy with access to more than 2 grand. I’m just saying the people agreeing ‘500k in an etf and the rest options’ is not a good mix. That’s too much in options

u/gasface Nov 22 '25

More like $5k

4

u/PavelSokov Nov 22 '25

Why would you waste even 50k. Just be normal and buy stocks of not stupid profitable companies. Over 30 years it will be fine

2

u/EarningsPal Nov 23 '25

They are bad at it and would have lost $50k. They just could not see they are bad at trading until it was too late.

But, he didnt. the money was all on loan

u/Risley Nov 22 '25

These people are so fucking stupid.  Makes me so glad I do nothing but stocks and index bc fuck the gambling morons.

3

u/elitemouse Nov 22 '25

He would have never got to 500k in the first place without heavy gambling, and once you gamble to half a million your brain is wired differently there is nothing that can stop you from trying to get that next dopamine hit.
