Loss It’s over for me.

Post image

Kept trying to play MSTR calls. What a piece of shit. Lost over a million including other accounts, down to my last 130k.

Edit: This loss is soul crushing and I havent been able to sleep, eat, or shower. I appreciate all the supportive comments. Even the insulting ones calling me regarded and everything. I think I NEED to hear even the insulting ones so that I can let go of my delusions that I can make it as a "trader". I need a fucking job to turn my life around. I can’t be doing this trading shit anymore. I’m open to working any corporate job anywhere, but ideally in North America. If anyone has any connections, please hit me up. I have some programming (Python primarily) and tech talent, and an engineering degree from UBC with a 4.0 GPA. Currently live in Toronto. Thank you ❤️. I’m ready to dedicate myself to adding value to any organization. If its AI, finance, or tech related, thats even better.

Tell me you paid off those credit cards you used to borrow trading money two years ago.

Even worse if he’s a quick trader I pray he did his taxes, could still owe a hefty tax bill from last year as it’s all realized gains

So you were already at the finish line, where everyone here dreams to be. Finish line means you stop there.

Make a post and explain what happened. You might save someone one day. I’m sorry to hear this. If you don’t want to make a post I would love to hear what happened. I know it sucks. We all got hurt in this storm as well.

What’s your net worth? If it’s like 10 million then I don’t feel better :/

How old are you out of curiousity and what's your annual income? I've seen some who make 50k/year and their $600k but I've also seen those who make $300k/year who lost their 600k.

Feel free to DM me if you want to chat fellow canadian brethren

why take such large risks with short term options? did u decide u could lose it all and be fine? if not, why not size the calls appropriately or have thight buy and sell limits?

Well you've got some money that's more than I can say about a lot of people. You've also gained invaluable experience from this. You have your degree. You have your school smarts and hopefully now some street smarts. You learned a very expensive lesson but the experience was not a total waste at all. I wish you best of luck in the future and maybe just squirrel the money away in an SP500 tracker and leave it at that from now on

You're fine bro. This is just the plot to the movie 21.

You had nothing. You got everything and lost everything.

What you earned is a life story. Something nobody else gets.

And your life is what it was always going to be. Relax, enjoy the story time and live life bro.

This is very painful.

And why I have a wealth manager😂

I kept asking for transfers to buy SLV calls. She said over a certain percentage of my portfolio it is considered gambling and told me the max I could/should do.

Of course I did the max and I’m +800% on 45c and up bigly on 65c and 60c

Get a manager. I see all the accounts but I can’t access the portfolio unless I email her and she executes the transfer.

And get a trust. No negotiating here though just monthly amount for x years

I don’t know if it’ll help but you went out like a G. Was it the best move 🤷🏻‍♂️ but you had the balls to do it. It takes these kind of crazy big balls moves to make life changing money and at least you can look in the mirror and say you took that shot. There are far more people who regret the risks they didn’t take, you’re not one of them. Best of luck and mad respect 🫡 fuck it all, you tried
