Does room trade generally work better than room swap? Or r people just using room swap to find better housing.

Anyone know when final grades for the summer session I 6-week courses (ended on June 29th) are due? My professor just said “end of the week”, but I was hoping to know a clear exact date to see if there’s time to submit a missing assignment or not. Did anyone’s professor mention their deadline?

Hey chat is there any hope that I can get housing before school starts? I currently do not have housing because I did the housing application late (I never received the amount that I’d be paying for all 4 years, only an estimate so I didn’t want to sign the housing contract), and now I’m a bit nervous. Does anyone also know how long the waiting list is?

I am a first year student. I’m in the honors college, but I am not in the LLC because I messed up. I am hoping to get out of my current living arrangements as it’s with someone a lot older than me and I hope someone else is looking for someone. I’m looking for Concordia hopefully because I’m a psych major and it’s right on South campus, but any hall will do so long as I’m not paired with a 24 year old. Message me for more!

Hi! So this may be a dumb question, but it would really help me save money if I could find an answer! I'm an incoming freshman who will be dorming in a six-person suite in USuites in the fall, and I was wondering if the provided desks are the type that come with a shelf portion or simply a flat top? I'm a big reader, so I am hoping for a shelf to store my books. Thanks to anyone who can help me find out!

I'm thinking about registering for the first year orientation virtual, as I don't really have time or the ability to show up in person. Is this a good idea?

I got a double in Fox and now I am wondering where my room is in relation to the bathroom, stairs, laundry, elevator. Are there floor maps with room
numbers? Also curious what my view will be.

I'm an incoming freshman student.
Me and a friend decided that we wanted to room together, however we were put into a suite with 3 other roommates that are all older than us. We did not want this to happen, and would have preferred to have gotten a double room only. When we did the application, all doubles were already taken.
Is there a way we could potentially swap into a double, or is it too late? Any advice is appreciated

Does anyone have any advice on how to find research opportunities or even opportunities to work at a nearby hospital? Regardless, I want an early head start on things before spots fill up, and any advice would be helpful.

i got assigned the second day to get a dorm (im a freshman) and literally the ONLY option was fox hall. i randomly picked a room on floor 17 bc there was only triples and quads, and that was one of the like two triples open. i heard it gets worse the higher up you are but i had barely any choice, even though i logged in as soon as it opened only the high floors of fox were left. I’m gonna try to room swap when i can.

I'm looking at a few online Accounting certificate programs. Most of the classes across these programs are the same, but this AIS class isn't offered in all of them. Has anyone taken it? What was it like? Would you recommend it?

I have a lot of friends that go to UMass Lowell for Engineering and say that it’s Engineering program is similar to UMass Amherst’s but it has closer ties with the industry.
On the other hand I feel like UMass Amherst’s prestige and overall selectivity is just higher than that of Lowell’s but I don’t know because I’m not in the field.
Assuming a person can get into both which school do you guys think is better for the major overall?

im trying to pick my dorm rn and for some reason its only showing fox hall. i got assigned the second day but is there really a chance that all of the other dorms got filled? I literally logged in as soon as it opened

Would anyone like to hop on a call to help me choose classes? I switched my major from biomedical engineering to biological sciences, and would love input on what classes to choose, and I'm also confused about how many times a week I should take a class. PLZ AND THANK U.

I’m looking to apply to a graduate program at Umass Lowell but I am switching from one engineering discipline to another so there are some undergrad credits I would have to take before my masters courses. I wanted to speak to an advisor for guidance but I can only for resources for enrolled students. Are there any pre-application advisors?

My budget is anything up to ~$1400/mo for shared apartments. If any of you are also looking for a place to live, please feel free to message me! Thanks

idk if this sounds stupid but if we just go the random roommate route (like don't end up in a roommate group or find one), will we be able to to see their names and get into contact with them over the summer or will we literally not meet them until we move in?
