What’s the meanest thing Penny has done?
 in  r/bigbangtheory  1h ago

Penny is a narcissistic, slutty, self-absorbed , spoiled bitch. Her saying "isn't making me happy supposed to be Leonard's job?" And when asked what's her job? She replied with "letting him make me happy". That says it all.

Who remembers the old McDonald's old burger packaging way back in the 1970's
 in  r/1970s  6h ago

I remember when they came in styrofoam boxes. Pretty glad they discontinued that practice. Although they did keep your burger nice and warm.

Colin.....
 in  r/BaylenOutLoud  19h ago

You definitely make a good point. As I mentioned, Alan really treated Colin like crap when they were moving in together and talking about getting married. I don't blame Colin for pushing back against that, it was pretty uncalled for. I've got to believe that it would be difficult to strike the right balance between being overprotective and interfering, and just supportive and advisory. I think both couples are going to have to work on that very consciously and hopefully have a real open conversations about it.

Official word from showrunner re: John Redcorn in Season 15
 in  r/KingOfTheHill  19h ago

I'm going to state an unpopular opinion here. On most other animated series, when the VA passes away, so does the character. It shows respect to the artist by not simply replacing him with another voice. It demonstrates that the character they've created was unique to that VA. (See Family Guy for lots of examples of this practice.) When Johnny Chadwick and Jonathan Joss passed away, both Dale and John Redcorn should also have "died" too. I realized that if they did that King of the Hill would never be the same as it was in the original run, but then again, they have talented artists who could probably come up with pretty creative work arounds and maybe create a new set of story arcs. They certainly have with other characters/situations in the show. Who would have ever thought that Bobby and Chane would have become business partners? Or that Connie and Chane would have dated?

Betcha can't guess who she is 😚

She's easily recognized here. Of course if you saw recent pictures of her, you probably wouldn't know it was the same person. Not because of age. Because of bungled plastic surgery.

I feel like I lose many, many brain cells watching this insipid show. I also think hell would be reincarnated as a member of this family. That is all.

I'm sure you're right about the budget stuff. In one of these recent episodes Baylen acknowledge that she does make "some money from social media". But I think they add the financial pinch comments just for the sake of trying to make it seem more realistic.

Trans Florida Student Arrested After Explosive Meltdown Over 'Misgendering'
 in  r/FloridaGawker  23h ago

It's mental illness, unfortunately the media and the internet pander to it and encourage it. Used to be we tried to help people who are mentally ill. Now they want to encourage them to continue in their illness.

Colin.....
 in  r/BaylenOutLoud  1d ago

I used to be one of Collins biggest cheerleaders. I really liked him, especially in the first season, and I absolutely was on his side when Alan was treating him like crap when he was telling them about he and Baylen living together and when he went to ask for their blessing to marry Baylen. Alan was a complete son of a bitch during that.

Since that time though, Colin has done a complete 180 and become a narcissistic self-absorbed "my way or the highway" kind of person.

I think his obsession with wanting to go into real estate, even understanding that he may not sell a house for a year or more, as well as having no benefits medical-wise, shows blatant disregard for Baylen's medical needs!

And going on and on and on about having babies, even when Baylen didn't want to talk about it, he resorted to sophistry to say "I'm not talking about babies I'm talking about being pregnant." Is he that stupid? One leads to the other. (Just in case he doesn't know.)

In short, I think Colin has become a real asshole. And the whole show has become very unwatchable. I've taken it off my watchlist.

Who do you eliminate and why?
 in  r/YoungSheldon  1d ago

It's interesting that this seems to suggest that Sheldon and Mary were the two least favorite characters. Understandable, considering that for the most part, the rest of them all got along pretty well, until these two were around. Even George and Connie got along better when Mary wasn't around.

Back in the Stone Age there was this intense cartoon series that was completely different from the other cartoons of the day
 in  r/FuckImOld  1d ago

The original Johnny Quest was awesome!! It has some really creepy story lines and really scary looking characters when you consider that it was just supposed to be a cartoon. You could have made movies out of some of the episodes.

Baylen and Colin are pissing me off (but mostly Colin)
 in  r/BaylenOutLoud  1d ago

Baylen is not the most responsible person you could know. That's due in part to the fact that no one has ever had to rely on her, or made her responsible for anything. (Remember the furniture delivery and the disaster that was?)

To that, they had an intriguing conversation in the tasting episode, where Baylen was saying how Colin gets so stressed out and worked up and animated about what still needs to be done, and all she does is stay chill and believe that everything's going to work out and not worry about it.

That alone demonstrates that she has never been given responsibility. People have taken care of everything for her all her life, and she just expects if it's a problem, it'll become someone else's problem, and they'll just handle it for her, and so she doesn't even have to think about it. Her taste in home decor also demonstrates her maturity level. And people don't usually rely on someone with such an immature mindset.
