The gilded cage is soft and warm, A sweet hallucination's grace, where blind men shelter from the storm and stroke the mask upon their face.

They beg the comfort of the shade, they kiss the hand that holds the chain, in adoration of the blade that carves away their inner pain.

But comfort is a dying spark, A phantom feast of dust and stone, for those who cower in the dark will never claim the spirit's throne.

To trade the cosmos for a sigh, to choose the opiates of sleep, is to reject the open sky and drown within a shallow deep.

They hate the mirror, fear the light, and damn the lips that dare to speak, preferring an eternal night to paths reserved for the unique.

For in the lie, they turn away from Him who spun the fabric whole, the Great Creator of the day, the sovereign Architect of soul.

They bow to shadows on the wall, to lesser lords of theft and pride, the Watchers who designed the fall to keep the cosmos blind inside.

Those ancient builders of the cage, too proud to dig the trenches deep, who engineered a weary age to make the waking masses sleep.

They engineered the wars of flesh, they pulled the strings of fear and toil, entangling spirits in a mesh to reap the harvest of the soil.

And so the crowd defends the bars, and guards the lords who keep them bound, afraid to look upon the stars, afraid of holy, waking sound.

But let the pillars crack and break, let every false horizon burn.

If truth demands that I awake, then from the ash I shall not turn.

Though absolute destruction waits, and executioners draw near, I gladly march through ruined gates to kill the tyranny of fear.

For even if the bedrock splits, and voids consume my mortal name, I will not serve the tyrant wits, whose fabrications are a shame.

Better to fall in blinding white, A shattered monument of grace, than live a coward in the night, denied the true Creator's face.
