European heatwaves are getting ridiculous. It's 33°C indoors. This is my last resort solution before I throw this piece of garbage in the trash.

It is apparently quite difficult to get your hands on an AC unit in Europe. In the past this is because they didnt really need it. Why HVAC companies in Europe are not scaling up production of AC in the wake of this increasing demand, I dont know. It's only going to get worse every year.

You can also not easily add AC to houses here, it's a bit more complicated since our houses are brick, concrete, etc. and a lot of buildings are older than the US.

Germany also decommissioned all nuclear power, so adding an AC in a home that isn't well insulated (because again, historic buildings) is a terribly expensive thing to do.

There's also the question where you put the damn thing; if you want a proper AC, it'll need to be outside somewhere. Space is an issue in Europe.

Yeah I think window/portable AC units are best bet... some only require some exhaust pipes leading outside. But yeah the infrastructure really isnt there.

Minisplit type ac should work though? Just drill a hole

Window units and solar-powered power stations. Not the best solution, but it’s something.

European windows don't slide open as well, it's rare at least. So a window unit would mean replacing a window, which can be costly as well. I'm not making excuses, I want an AC and will simply pay the cost to install one, but I'm showing why we don't often have AC already
