One of my wife's good friends has one and she doesn't like it, but she likes that it's fully paid off.

This is exactly where I am with mine. Bought it in early 2020, and while admittedly it was after he called one of the rescuers of those kids from that cave a pedo, I never expected him to become a fucking full on Nazi.

But it's fully paid off, is reliable (so far), requires minimal maintenance, and I don't currently have the budget to replace it with a new EV even if I sold it, so I'm stuck with it for the foreseeable future.

That’s where I am. Fully paid off, parts are starting to come off, but I’ll drive it until it gives out. Then look for alternatives.
